WARNING
Your antivirus may recognize these exe files included in the toolkit as virus as they aren't signed by Microsoft or others but just compiled.
They aren't virus so if your antivirus deletes these files and you can't use the toolkit please insert them in the list of the non scanned files.

How to use the toolkit:

1.a Download the installer from the link above.
1.b Run it and install the toolkit in a directory without spaces.
1.c Run Toolkit.exe.

2.a You will be asked if you want to check for updates. Type yes or no. If there is an update available the toolkit won't let you download it as you are running the free version.
2.b You will now see the model selection page. You can choose your device, check for updates again or go into the settings.
2.c Choose your device the toolkit will open a new window and start downloading necessary files

3.a If you go into the settings you can change the color of the words and of the background, set your favourite device, save the log of the toolkit to do a bugreport and set the auto updates on/off/ask at start

4.a Enable usb debugging in developer options in your device and plug it in.
4.b If you have drivers already installed the toolkit will show your device serial number under "Your device:", if not choose option 10 that will download and install drivers.

5.a Now option 1 will show you a new menu: you can take a logcat, a bugreport or show already taken ones. This option will save them in the "logcat" folder.

6.a Option 2 will let you root your device. It will ask you to reboot in download mode and it will open Odin. Then it will ask you to flash the package as PDA. After reboot you will have your rooted device.

7.a Option 4 is backup/restore
7.b You can backup all apps (system and user) and restore them
7.c Pull system partition and push system
7.d Pull data partition and push data
7.e Take nandroid backup using onandroid: it will push onandroid binary in /system/bin then it will execute following your choice between twrp or cwm

8.a In the option 5 you can wipe data or cache

9.a In the option 8 you can reboot your device normally, in recovery, in download mode or in download mode starting Odin

10.a With option 9 you can see your device info: product model, firmware build, firmware build id, screen density

11.a If you chose a default device you can reset it just choosing option 11

How can you brick a device without flashing new kernels? It's the only way for hard brick.

No my friend. Unfortunately it is not the only one. There are many ways to kill the device software. For example:
* Flash foreign bootloader, kernel, recovery, pit via Odin
* Flash foreign update.zip from different device via CWM or Mobile Odin - needs root :)
* Remove dev/block
et cetera...
