GREAT !!! This worked. Thank you so much :D
Im now on a rooted update 82.

I flashed the stock 77 recovery prior the OTA.
After the OTA flash was finished an the automatic reboot was sheduled i imedately pressed the "back" and "home" buttons to get into fastboot mode. From there i flashed back CWM and booted immediately into CWM recovery. In CWM i rooted it with Chainfires latest supersu.
After that i did the reboot and everything is fine :D

Thnx again for helping out with clearing my Google Services Framework data to get the OTA again...

Best regards,

Manuel
Glad I could help.

i just used this and it worked out wonders but the instructions are a bit clear at times so i had a bit of trouble but overall it fully works and very easy to use, only thing to make sure is you have to be on the main screen almost most the time or it says waiting for device and hangs there, until you root from cwm, but thanks man :D i am rooted with just a few clicks

I feel stupid for admitting this but I was not able to get Fastboot working to save my life getting the stock recovery flashed back over. After doing like 30+ minutes of research I was like, "wait a sec, doesn't this need fastboot drivers", and sure enough in device manager it wasn't installed, odd when I remembered installing it before.

Anyways, restored to stock recovery.
Rebooted and installed the update.
Re-installed CWM and rooted.
Rebooted back into Android and made sure everything was ok.
I'm now on update 82.

I think the battery drain comes from the CPU frequency being locked at 1.9ghz constantly. It doesn't scale down. But also some have reported SHIELD Hub being the culprit.

Sent from my SHIELD Portable using Tapatalk
True it's being set at PERFORMANCE but mine can last ~10 hours running at 1.9GHz, I noticed a drain when WiFi is on, simply turn it off when not needed

help

I can't get this Shield Ram window to recognize my Shield but I already unlocked my bootloader with ADB bundle> platform tools so I know I have correct drivers to communitcate. So any idea why Shield Ram is ignoring my shield? It says no devices found in the list when it does a driver check.

I'm trying to roll back to OTA 68

update: I found this thread and good! Back on 4.3 :) https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/751654/help-downgrade-from-update-77/

You have adb debugging turned on?

Update 98 should be hitting the OTA queue any day now. A user on the Shield community boards said he got the update while installing some apps. Hoping someone could upload it from their cache as I can't get it to show up.

I'm that user that you're talking about. I already uploaded the untouched OTA update 98 zip file on my thread over at the Shield community boards. You need the stock recovery and sideload it via adb.

Hey, thought I recognized your username. Forgot to check back on that thread. Wasn't sure if you had managed to save the file.

I can't figure out how to install this via adb. I've tried sideloading it through bootloader and recovery but it's not detecting my Shield.

Anyway, for anyone else who wants it, here's Update 98.
