Samsung Galaxy S6 device module Auto Update available

An Auto Update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Toolkit module. All the supported Samsung devices will be updated over the next 2 weeks to support the latest builds [Root, SuperSU Systemless] and add the latest improvements so I would highly recommend updating to the Pro version now to get the latest updates first. It’s well worth it. I will update the public [free] modules once everything is up to date. PRO Users have to get priority at the moment.

Changelog:
+Updated main Toolkit code to support Android 5.1.1 and 6.0 builds [root, backup]
+Updated Toolkit to add latest device support and more options
+Added SuperSU systemless root method for root without flashing patched boot image
+Root methods updated to latest versions
+Updated TWRP Recovery for LTE model to 2.8.7.2
+Added INT SM-G920F support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Added SPRINT SM-G920P support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Added TMOB SM-G920T support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Added USC SM-G920R4 support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Added CANADA SM-N910W8 support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Added AUS SM-G920I support up to latest 5.1.1 inc stock boot/recovery images
+Updated any build selection to support future Android 6 builds [root]
+Toolkit checks needed files at startup and downloads automatically if missing
+Added link to Sam Firmware downloader in download section for faster download
+Rewrote all root procedures for better user interaction
+Updated all installable apk apps to latest versions
+Updated apk backup routines to support newer builds properly
+Updated text in routines and added more error control in routines
+Main exe files now digitally signed with skipsoft ltd certificate
+Bug fixes

If you want to donate to a device module to receive the pro updates please do it through the Toolkit (after selecting the device at startup) or at http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=703 so you get the right code fast.

Enjoy, Mark.

Please someone help me!!!!
I had i huge problem with my device a month ago after trying to intall this file
http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s6/development/rom-aterminatorg920f3zpa1m-6-0-11-0b-t3295183

before it my device worked just fine, it was rooted with TWRP and everything.
After trying to install this file,my device wanted into a bootloop and from then thing started to get worst, It got brick and I could only get into download.
after almost 3 days of trying everything I finally was able to at least fix the bootloop, by flashing (via odin) a new firmware

http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s6/help/help-thread-question-s6-t3110220/post65117496#post65117496

(You could see my explain the problem from the start here and in the pages before that one).

after flashing the firmware i had to go into recovry mode (not twrp anymore) and to factory wipe my device in order to get to the rom it self.
I thoght that this will be the end to my troubles and now i will just have to root my device flash twrp and get my device to the way it was before.... BUT NO!!

I cant root my device, cant install twrp or do any other "ROOT" staff because than the problem will come back!! it also go into bootloop mode!
It is like there is a bug or something in my device that no matter what i will do even after a complete wipe and new firmware flashing the problem will always come back!! and the only way to fix it is to refalsh that firmware and to full wipe my device

about an hour ago my device run a base firmware listed in the link above , with no root or twrp, but after almost a month without those thing ive decided to give it another shot with the safest way i could thing of which is using Skipsoft Android toolkit Pro.

I have choose my device model then choose "root options" then "Allinone - Root, recovery, busybox, rename recovery restore files" then choose "superSU beta 2.67 by chainfire" and then schoose that i dont have TWRP install.

then the process started, it open odin and asked my to choose the recovey file that is in the folder of the program on my computer (twrp 3.0) [just to let you know ive try before this time to install 2.87.2/.1/.0 not via this program and all made the bootloop to comeback so the version is not the problem].
the process same to be ok because they said that if a message of pass or reset is shown and the device reboot it is ok (ive got a rest message) but what do you know the bootloop came BACK!!! Now i can only go into download.

Please people i dont what to do please help!!! (just so you know when i open the program again and it check my device it is listed that TWRP 3.0 is installed!
so I think that problem is with the boot file or something like that) please tell me what to do either in that program or with odin.

Hey mskip,

i donated for the module "Samsung Galaxy S6" and tried to root it, but Odin fails. I used Option 5 (ALLINONE). This is my installed firmware:

P.S.: I also tried flashing the new CF-Autoroot (released today) from Chainfire with no success. Other methods like flashing the SpaceX (2.1) or Adam Kernel with TWRP also fails in Odin.
What could be the problem? In advanced, thank you for your help.

Update:
======
I found a post with the solution for my problem:

Don't forget to deactivate "reactivation lock" and set your lockscreen unlocking method to "nothing" before flashing with Odin or Samsung's and Google's new security will make the flash fail.
@mskip: Please add this hint to your toolkit!

quick question, i know that i have read on this forum everything has been updated for the public version to 5.1.1 capable. However when i log into the tool it states that it can only go up to 5.0.2. I have not used this tool before and would like to try rooting my telus w8 s6. Can anyone verify that this indeed will properly flash the correct 5.1.1 software?

Are you trying to make money by restraining us to use your tool for free at latest 6.0.1 builds?
What a shame, this was a nice place once.

I just donated for the S6 module (v1.5.7) since I've used Skipsoft in the past with my Nexus (and it was awesome) and wanted the easiest route to root and flash a custom ROM. However, I'm running into this error message as I'm going through the menu system.

This is only an error when you select option 5 for the Canadian version of the S6. I tried to enter option 1 for the International version and don't run into this TWRP verification error.

DOWNLOAD THE SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT *HERE* (FROM SKIPSOFT.NET)

NOTE: Key files are signed with a Digital Certificate from skipsoft.net but some ‘may’ get picked up as potentially harmful by Antivirus Programs and deleted. They are not harmful, this is a false positive given because of the compiler used. If this happens restore the file and exclude the folder from future scans to use it. This seems to happen mostly on AVG Free and Norton. If you are using the Auto Update feature on pro versions then you will need to disable the AV program or exclude the folder from scans before running the update again.

Credits: ChainsDD for Superuser, Chainfire for SuperSU and kernel patches, koush and the clockworkmod team for cwm and the universal driver pack, 1wayjonny for the adb/fastboot driver pack, Adam Lange for all his support and help with the insecure kernels, Viperboy for the Knox Disabler app, Stephen Erickson for the BusyBox installer app, BurrowsApps for the Root Checker app, NextApp for the SD Fix app, fOmey for TWRP for the Galaxy Gear.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PUBLIC (FREE) AND PROFESSIONAL (DONATE) VERSIONS?
THE PUBLIC VERSION OF THE TOOLKIT INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED TO MANIPULATE AND ROOT YOUR DEVICE.

ACTIVATING THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION ADDS THE MOST USEFUL FUNCTION IN THE TOOLKIT, THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR ‘AUTO UPDATES’ DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT AND HAVE THEM PUSHED TO YOUR PC RIGHT AWAY AS SOON AS THEY ARE UPLOADED WITHOUT NEEDING TO DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE TOOLKIT EVERY TIME. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST VERSION AS SOON AS IT IS MADE AVAILABLE. THIS MEANS SMALLER UPDATES CAN BE SENT OUT MORE FREQUENTLY, SUCH AS ADDING A SINGLE FUNCTION, FIXING A BUG OR ADDING COMPATIBILITY FOR A SINGLE CARRIER. THE SMALLER UPDATES WILL BE COMPILED AND RELEASED TO THE XDA COMMUNITY AS A FULL (PUBLIC) DOWNLOAD VERSION SO PROFESSIONAL VERSIONS ARE ALWAYS UPDATED SOONER.
THE PRO VERSION ALSO ADDS THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF SUPERUSER AND RECOVERY FILES AND DOWNLOAD THEM DIRECTLY TO THE TOOLKIT.
THE ‘QUICK PICKS’ SECTION[/B] ALLOWS YOU TO PROGRAM UPTO 10 SLOTS WITH TASKS THAT YOU MAY PERFORM ON A REGULAR BASIS OR JUST WANT TO KEEP A SET OF TASKS IN 1 PLACE. THEN JUST SELECT THE SLOT AND IT WILL REMEMBER ALL YOUR SETTINGS FOR THAT TASK AND RUN IT.
PRO USERS CAN ALSO SELECT THE “ANY BUILD” OPTION IN THE BUILD SELECTION SCREEN TO ROOT ANY BUILD AS LONG AS THE VERSION IS SUPPORTED (USEFUL IF YOUR BUILD IS NOT LISTED).

MORE IMPORTANTLY DONATING SHOWS YOUR APPRECIATION AND ALLOWS THE TOOLKIT TO CONTINUE TO EVOLVE AND GROW.

AUTO REPLY LINKS FOR PAYPAL TO GET A CODE INSTANTLY CAN BE FOUND AT http://goo.gl/nyGqv

    --------------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE READ THE *HELP* PAGE AT http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=1269 OR USE THE INFORMATION SECTION WITHIN THE TOOLKIT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. I HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF TIME TO WRITE IT AND SOMETHING ON THERE SHOULD ANSWER 99% OF PROBLEMS.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

    1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS

The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.

THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.

If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.

Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.

On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

    2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT

When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.

Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

    --------------------------------------------------------------

    USEFUL INFORMATION

Enable Developer options for usb debugging
Go to Settings, System section, About device and tap on 'Build number' 7 times until it says you are now a developer. You can now go to Settings, System section, Developer options and enable USB debug.

How to get into Recovery Mode
    1. Unplug the USB cable.
    2. Shut down the phone.
    3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds to enter Recovery Mode.

How to get into Download Mode (For Odin)
    1. Unplug the USB cable.
    2. Shut down the phone.
    3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME DOWN' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears. Press the 'VOLUME UP' button to enter Download Mode.

    *DISCLAIMER*

I take no responsibility for any fault or damage caused by any procedures within this guide. No warranties of any kind are given.

The latest versions of TWRP have problems with sideloading files and with openrecoveryscript which the ALLINONE procedure uses (which is why most of the devices are still using TWRP 2.7). If your module uses a 2.8 version and you have problems with the above just select the push option which will always work.

Also Chainfire updated SuperSU beta (2.49) with a fix for the deepsleep problem so select that version until the release version has been updated.

    Mark.

So no deepsleep issue with this tool? Or we have still to do the trick to fix it?
I thought SuperSU beta 2.49 included a fix for deepsleep issue but if not just download http://skipsoft.net/download/toolkit/sgs6toolkit/UPDATE-S6DeepSleepFix.zip and flash via TWRP custom recovery. I will add this fix to the Toolkit today and push an updated module file which can be downloaded by cleaning the existing module files with ToolKitClean.exe and selecting the device again (or you can just update automatically if you are a pro user).

    Mark.
