Safe for my Bluez-enhanced Lollipop?

Hi. So I've finally managed to build the Bluez for Android version of lollipop AOSP. It was supposed to be rooted, but somehow wasn't. Would it be safe to run NRT, i.e. would it leave the kernel and the contents of the filesystem alone? I think the FAQ implies this, but I don't want to leave that to chance, it was painful to get it set up.. Thanks! This looks like a great tool.

Fastboot getvar unlocked

Alright guys, I have a Nexus 7(2013). When I bought it was flashed with TWRP, and OmniRom running 4.4.1. I've been trying to flash an updated rom with no luck. I found this tool and still no luck. It sees my device. Reboots it into fastboot mode, sees it again. It fails with Fastboot getvar unlocked. After this it wont see my device at all and I have to reboot, toggle debug a couple times and eventually it comes back.

Now, when I try to just flash a new rom with my existing TWRP install it fails to install from zip. No specific error.

I installed the twrp application from the play store and it says I have to be root to run and crashes. (Not sure how I could possibly not be root)

I'd ask that you forgive my ignorance, but I'm honestly hoping you see something ignorant here that you can correct.

Bootloader: FLO-04.01
TWRP: v2.6.0.0
Build: omni_flo-userdug 4.4.1 KOT49E eng.hav0k.20131206.091004 test-keys

Make sure your bootloader is unlocked. If it's not, unlocking it will wipe all your data.

The first this I would try it using NRT is to flash the correct version using the Soft-Bricked/Bootloop Mode. If that does not get you then try going into advance utilities and use the Reboot Bootloader. See if either one of those get you where you want to be.

I just downloaded the newest version - went from 2.1.4 to 2.1.6 under Windows XP pro.

Also updated all file dependencies. Now Wugfresh will load but generates all the same error, and can't talk to the tablet anymore.

Error is "the procedure entry point wsapoll could not be located in the dynamic library ws2_32.dll"

I restored my pc back to version .4 and everything works fine again - except it won't let me update the file dependencies.

How do I fix this please?

Hey Wugs,

Google has changed their checksum when you bring your own factory image to flash... it's now a SHA-256 Checksum. So I can't flash the new security update because it will mismatch.

Thanks, keep up the good work!

Hi,

I am on Linux Mint OS and I am using NRT 2.1.8 through WINE.

I am getting the "hashcheck mismatch" when trying to Flashing stock + unroot (my device is in bootloop). When researched a bit I found out that I will have to update the masterlist. However when I try to do so using "Update->Import update pack" NRT is not re-directing to the masterlist page (as in the browser is not opening). Any way I can directly go to the masterlist page and download the zip manually? Please help me with the link.

Thanks,
DSP

I upgraded/rooted my N7 (2013) to the lastest MM with NRT. All went well, but SuperSU doesn't appear in my apps drawer. Root checker confirms root, and the Play Store confirms SuperSU is installed (my only option is uninstall). I killed the app and rebooted hoping that it might appear, but no change.

Any idea what is going on here? How can I get SuperSU to the app drawer?

FWIW, I once had a MM ROM where SuperSU appeared in Settings, but this time I flashed the Google ROM, so I figured NRT cleaned that up. So maybe there is a wipe still required? Hopefully a limited wipe? Or is this related to systemless root?

Unlocking, rooting, relocking and unrooting simplified! (and much more!)

VERSION 2.1.4 - This program will automatically bring together all the files you need to unlock and root your device in a few clicks, or flash it back to stock and re-lock it. You can also use this program to backup/restore all your important data, flash zips, set file permissions, push and pull files, install apps, generate logcats/bugreports, and much more! With the included file association options, you can perform tasks like flashing zips, installing apps, restoring android backup files, and flashing/booting img files with just a double click! The program includes a full featured interface for automating tasks in TWRP, enhanced restore features, an in-built auto-updater/notification system, ‘any build’ mode, advanced restore features,’NRT- Live Log’ for viewing the adb/fastboot cmds that are run in the background, quick tools utilities, and tools for taking screenshots/screen-recordings. All the latest official Android builds and Nexus devices are supported. The program intelligently and selectively downloads the files it needs for your device and makes sure you are using the latest files available. The program can even auto-detect your device and build. This release brings full Marshmallow root support plus all automated features by utilizing a new system that no longer requires modified boot.imgs. Check out the updated changelog for a more comprehensive breakdown of the feature set and changes in this release.

~ my goal for this project is make the entire process as smooth and simple as possible ~

Hey guys/girls - I know I have been a bit MIA on XDA, but I am still around :)

If I missed any of your posts - my bad. I will try to back track through this thread.

NRT v2.0.7 is out now with support for all the new marshmallow builds, and a whole big script on my end to keep supporting new ones as they come out. NRT v2.0.6 had some bugs - so I am sorry if any of you were having complications with that release.

Make sure you update the kit to the latest masterlists via the update button, or letting it auto update on start (as of this post the latest are 3092). Cheers! Enjoy!
