Hi,

I am on Linux Mint OS and I am using NRT 2.1.8 through WINE.

I am getting the "hashcheck mismatch" when trying to Flashing stock + unroot (my device is in bootloop). When researched a bit I found out that I will have to update the masterlist. However when I try to do so using "Update->Import update pack" NRT is not re-directing to the masterlist page (as in the browser is not opening). Any way I can directly go to the masterlist page and download the zip manually? Please help me with the link.

Thanks,
DSP
Anyone? I thought this is a active thread..

Greetings.

I recently flashed the Nougat AOSP Rom for the Nexus 7 2013 available at this XDA thread. I used TWRP. When I install NTK though, it tells me that I don't have a custom recovery installed. Is this an error in NTK, or is it another reason? Not a big deal of course, just am curious.

Why do I need to Unlock before Rooting? I don't remember ever needing to Unlock the bootloader in the past when I wanted to Root, though this was on other device brands like Samsung.

I have TWRP v2.6.2.0 and I wiped the all the partitions. Now no devices show using both ADB or fastboot. PC can not recognize the USB device? How to recover so PC can see device? However, Nexus7 does post on This PC.

I'm running 6.0.1 right now... would like to bump to latest but not sure if I can do it without wiping. I use this tablet largely for my kids and have their user stuff setup. Would prefer not to wipe. Can I make that jump using the toolkit using the "no wipe" option?

edit: nvm. I'm an idiot. The update I'm seeing is a minor one, so the no wipe should work.

I'm using the latest Toolkit and use it to install both the MarshMallow 6.0.1 OS and the TWRP recovery onto my Nexus 7 2013. But when I make a complete backup using TWRP and go to restore the image onto my device, I always get the dreaded "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255" error when it's restoring the "System" part. I never had this problem with KitKat 4.4.4. Is this an issue with the toolkit and MarshMallow or some other bug? Thanks for any help.

Restoring N7 2013 LTE

My N7 locked up after 5.1 OTA update. I can get to the Fastboot and have tried fastboot and flashing manually. It always hangs on this step:

D:\razorg-mob30x>fastboot oem unlock
(bootloader) Unlocking bootloader...
(bootloader) erasing userdata...

When I try to use NRT, I can't get past the first screen "Your model type". When I press "Auto Detect Device" it works briefly but nothing happens after that. I'm at the fastboot mode screen and connected with USB.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Unlocking, rooting, relocking and unrooting simplified! (and much more!)

VERSION 2.1.4 - This program will automatically bring together all the files you need to unlock and root your device in a few clicks, or flash it back to stock and re-lock it. You can also use this program to backup/restore all your important data, flash zips, set file permissions, push and pull files, install apps, generate logcats/bugreports, and much more! With the included file association options, you can perform tasks like flashing zips, installing apps, restoring android backup files, and flashing/booting img files with just a double click! The program includes a full featured interface for automating tasks in TWRP, enhanced restore features, an in-built auto-updater/notification system, ‘any build’ mode, advanced restore features,’NRT- Live Log’ for viewing the adb/fastboot cmds that are run in the background, quick tools utilities, and tools for taking screenshots/screen-recordings. All the latest official Android builds and Nexus devices are supported. The program intelligently and selectively downloads the files it needs for your device and makes sure you are using the latest files available. The program can even auto-detect your device and build. This release brings full Marshmallow root support plus all automated features by utilizing a new system that no longer requires modified boot.imgs. Check out the updated changelog for a more comprehensive breakdown of the feature set and changes in this release.

~ my goal for this project is make the entire process as smooth and simple as possible ~

@WugFresh first off, thank you for such a great tool kit! I've used it many times with success, but now I am stuck in boot animation. Here is what happened.

I had severe ghost screen touch issues with my nexus 7 2013 razor Flo version, mob30x version on android 6.0.1

Had hardware replaced, still touch screen issues. Read lollipop update could have caused it so downgraded to 4.3 jss15r. Tons of google play and google services errors.

I went back to 6.0.1 mob30x then installed a custom Rom. Wasn't happy with it so I tried to go back to mob30x, first did ALL wipes in twrp and factory reset in twrp and formatted.

Installed mob30x again. Got stuck at boot animation so decided to go back to a custom Rom and wiped all first then I stalled custom Rom. It got stuck in boot animation.

To summerize.. All factory images 5.0 and below boot fine. All factory images 5.0 and above or custom rooms get stuck at boot animation.

This is very weird. Do you, or anyone, have suggestions? Thank you! Cindy
