For anyone that dont like this ugly assistive light widget in our s3 s here is the torch widget from galaxy note.
\It is a 3 scalling light widget and works perfect on both ics and jelly bean roms.
Just push it in system/app via root explorer..
Just reboot after that and if you press it and wont open wait some secs.
This is only for first time.
Enjoy...

Noob here.
Miss that quick light with my new rom.

I copied the above file to the system/app folder using root explorer and try to run it but get an "X App not installed"

I'm sure I m doing something stupid though. Any insight?

Thanks

no need to install it mate,
just place it in system/app folder, change permissions to rw-r--r-- and restart your phone.
You should be able to see it in your widgets then :)

BTW, thanx pressed to the OP. Nice work :)

Excellent App !
3 Step light are great !

Just one thing :
The icon (and widget) need to be transparent instead of black, if you use a clear or white background....

And perhaps resize the widget by default at the same size to standard icons .....

I' ve made a transparent version for my usage quickly this afternoon (all credits goes to the devs) ... if you want to test..

Thanks a lot

Hi!
Another noob here! :D

First, BIG THANKS for this app!

I have N-7000, after change rom from ICS to JB, I misss this torch!

After 'install' it works, but not perfectly.
Click one: 100% light, icon show full power, first 'led' (on the icone) goes green.
Click two: 100% light, icon on full, two green 'leds'.
Click three: abour 40% light, icon - full, three green lights.
Click four - everthings goes off, this is OK ;)

And could somebody resize icon and widget to 1x1?

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry for my english.

Can you please make widget to 1x1 right now its 2x1 also.. when I put this widget on home screen it don't behave they it has to. It behave like this

1-First click 100% Light
2-Second click 100% Light
3-Third click 40% Light
4-Fourth click turn off LED

I have followed the steps which you have mentioned in your post. Let me know if I am missing something

Hi,
I've changed the icons and made it 1x1 size.
Works great now on my S5.

Thanks to dev!!! :good:

just a remainder...
put it in /system/app folder and change permissions to rw-r--r-- and then restart
(even though "normal" install works just as well)
