Recovery control has a lot of features the recovery updater doesn't have. If you only want to install and update the recovery the free version is okay. If you want to flash roms regularly you should try the control version :) it's worth every single cent IMO

At the end you should choose one of them..

Cheers
Ah thanks, so I do only need one...as I said, I did buy the control one, but just wasn't sure if I needed both.

Also, why does the app drawer icon say Recoverv in stead of Recovery

Hi guys, im new to 4ext recovery...
I wanted to know if i need to wipe something before switching from cmr5 to 4ext?
Will my rom stay after the 4ext flash or do i need to flash it back again?
And do the cmr5 backups can be restore with 4ext?
Thx

No need to wipe anything, just install 4ext recovery updater.
Your Rom will stay as it is.

And yes 4ext can restore your previous CWM backups.

Can someone else confirm or deny this:

If I leave my phone on recovery for a while, for example if I go and make a cup of tea, when I get back the screen is unresponsive so I have to do a battery pull.

Thanks

Why use this small font when we have this bigass screen?? Is it changable?

Well that's not that easy, last time I talked about it with max he said it was very hard to change. Maybe in the future. Maybe it has something to do with sources not all available, no idea.

it is a bit more than just exchange the font like in word ...

at the moment you can only hope for themes with .pngs as menu background and custom font ^^

It's a little bit laggy, but I think that is fixed in the next versions.
I really like it!

Thanks!

Madmaxx82: you are doing a spectecular job, i want to suggest you for a progess bar instead of ring, progress is better because it helps to know how much of flashing/backup/restore has been done/left. But nevertheless keep up the great job you are doing...
A real progressbar was not included because it would take a huge toll on speed during backup/restore. As there is no OS to deliver the numbers, the recovery would have to calculate the remaining percentage all the time besides doing the backup/restore process, which would slow that down considerably. Madmaxx82 told me that was the reason he decided not to include that.
