Touchscreen unresonsive

Hello all,
I have seen the posts about the connection pin on the back and have tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. I now would like to try to root the phone and try another ROM to see if that makes a difference but here's a list of my issues;

1. The touchscreen doesn't work so I can change default USB action (currently on charge only)
2. Can't use revolutionary tool b/c I can't change to HTC sync.
3. Can't ADB b/c can't get to USB debugging
4. Can't install CWM for reasons above, and can't mount sd card on pc

Basically I can only get to Hboot screen and use hard buttons, PWR VOL +/-

Any thoughts?

it might be a hardware problem if your ts doesn't work at all.

yeah that was what I was worried about. Hope that's not the case though. Anything like NVFlash or ODIN available on HTC products?

There is an RUU. You just need to download the RUU and run it.
