Hi xda developers
I was using a guide from this forum to get root on a Z4 so that I could install custom ROMs: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/guide-how-to-root-z5c-painful-using-t3549388. I know it's a guide for a z5 compact (which is the device I ultimately hope to install a custom ROM on to). I was doing this as a dummy run to get myself familiar with the process on a device that isn't mission critical.
I got as far as completing step 6 in which i used phh's superuser instead of SuperSU, as advised, as did not use Xposed.
After rebooting, the buttons work but the touchscreen is unresponsive. I've repeated the process and the problem persists. Where should I be looking to diagnose the root of the problem or what other things could I be trying.
Any suggestions appreciated.
