You guys actually figured it out?!?
Oh my gosh, this thread is the closest I've gotten to finding my holy grail - restoring the red-line spell check in TouchWiz. I've had this Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P900) for 10 months... by the time I realized that the 'red-underline' had been deliberately crippled by Samsung, it was too late to return the tablet. Without a proper, offline spell-check, this thing is USELESS! I can spell, but I can't type 3 words on a virtual keyboard without making a typo. Predictive Text is retarded, and garbled text walks right past Auto-Correction - without any warning. Everybody in this thread knows exactly what I'm talking about!
I have tried CM11 & 12, and both restore the red-underline feature. However, they do NOT support the Wacom S-Pen, and this is hardware that I both use and paid extra $$$ to have. So, even though I do recognize why it is so hated, TouchWiz is the best option for this particular tablet - if only I can restore the red-underline spell-check. Just 2 days ago, I posted a $100 reward in XDA Xposed, for anyone who can come up with a working module to fix this. Nobody has taken the bait... but maybe the solution is right here!!!!!!
I understand that a few of you have achieved some success on certain models. Is the solution model-specific? And if so, would anyone be willing to assist me with my tablet??! This is a HUGE issue for me. I'm reduced to using my $150 Chinese Kitkat Phone - which has the AOSP spell checker - to write all of my emails!
I am a proficient assembler programmer, but that is of little help here. My work (Technical Movie Props - 27 years) involves multiple disciplines, and I would be open to 'trading services' with anyone who can 'fix' my tablet. Perhaps some CNC Machining? Or Laser Engraving/Cutting? I don't know. I like the idea of trading skills.
Does anyone here feel confident to pull it off?
Again, it's a Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P900), 4.4.2, Stock-Rooted, SuperSU, Xposed, Busybox, TWRP - ALL BACKED UP AND READY FOR EXPERIMENTING!
I'm holding my breath... someone please respond before my head explodes!!!
