For now, The GSI I have installed is :
AncientOS-Civilization by igor-s7

Just a quick notice
Download Arm64 A/B GSI, not A-Only

I think that is the most stable of them all for now, Although you have to fix the Device Certification error from Google, you can fix this easily though

NOTE : The GSI comes with pre-installed GAPPS, I personally didn't flash OpenGapps on this one

Step 1 : Continue to set up device, ignore all the error showing in the notifications

Step 2 : Go to Google Chrome and download "Device ID"
From there, Go and Copy the Google Service Framework ( GSF )

Step 3 : Tap the notification error, and it should show you 3 options

Now you should pick the "For Custom ROM Users", after that, you will be redirected to Google Chrome.

Step 4 : Paste your Google Service Framework ( GSF ) where it should be, you will then be met by a reCAPTCHA, after that register your device.

Step 5 : Clear Data and Cache of Google Services and Google Play and restart your device.

NOTE : Your device is still not certified, but it makes the error obsolete

For those who are asking, Yes NFC works
And Gaming is pretty outstanding, Camera has some errors sometimes, it is a new built project, so expect other bugs

Having a really hard time installing other GSI because most of them doesn't really work, like I tried installing Corvus and DerpFest, and it just bootloops, can someone help

But in AncientOS-Civilization it works like magic, no bootloops

Just installed HavocOS 3.6 ROM without Gapps built in, manually installed though. Everything works, no errors so far, I've set up my backups, my apps and nothing is out of the ordinary.

I've tried Andy Yang's Lineage OS builds and while they work perfectly, they lack hardware button enabling. Havoc works just fine too but it lacks hardware button customization.

I'm on Crdroid 6.5 gsi and it has all the customization features, works flawlessly, better than the build provided by Astrako.

About the 7870 Exynos SoC and further development:

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 has same SoC, so I guess it make sense to bundle or exchange knowledge. Maybe both (or better three sides) can learn. Maybe (one can dream) we can get rid of the nasty echo in calls or bluetooth call bugs.
Let's look what @Astrako and the devs for Tab @Valera1978 (who has initiated a lot for this SoC) and @TALUAtXDA will create in next future.

For those trying it with LOS and microG. There is a problem with location provider. For those who need that - better wait. Beside that I am very impressed.

Regarding echo in calls: ATM I am using Treble+LOS16 and my partners did not report echos if I call via telegram. What is the difference and couldn't be used this micro/audio driver for mobile phone calls too?
And for BT calls: Is it same kind of problem? As BT headphones work well (didn't try that with telegram).
Probably it is not a new idea ... so no offence.

Its hard to get a phone in that size and weight, so please keep it alive.
