Hi,

I just recovered my phone back to stock (nandroid backup) and removed custom recovery so my phone status is back from modified to normal.
I tried OTA update but get the message there is no update available. But i think there were updates in the last 4 months so...
Do i need to run triange away to get ota updates working again?
Samsung Kies is saying that my device is not supported to get upgrades trough Kies.

and whats the point of it?
sorry Samsung newbie here
Not only for warranty reasons. Samsungs All Share Service and Dongle doesn't work with flash counter 1+, too.

Mine too. Avast detected it as PUP
Remove Avast and install Antiy AVL (search for AVL in store) and AFWall+.

Read Antivirus tests like AV-Tests. Also Avast connects to google-analytics.com in the background. As the most of the free Security Suites as Trustgo do. Even in the Full Version. There is a reason for most of them are free. For collecting data. "Protecting" the user is secondary.

AVL connects to update server only. AFWall+ firewall doesnt even connects to any IP ever. The ones I trust.

Don't trust Lookout, Trustgo, Avast and so on.

Not rebooting

I've installed v3.00 on my Galaxy S3. When I select Reset Flash Counter it gives me the warnings telling me it will reboot but then doesn't reboot - just goes back to the Triange Away app. I'm running AnonoROM v23
Any ideas? Also, how do I view my current flash counter?

I'm having an issue with my binary counter. I bought the phone on the release date and when CF root came available I installed it directly. After that I installed Triangle Away and my binary counter and system status were set to "0" and "samsung official".
But 1 week ago I installed fresh software via Odin from the sammobile website. Now I installed custom rom but I can't seem to reset the " system status". It says "custom" all the time. Tried several Triangle Away versions. I even flashed the original firmware from may 2012 but I can't get it fixed. So there is still a red exclamation mark in the upper left corner. :( Does somebody know how I can fix that?
Thanks in advance.
And YES. I did used the search.:)

Happen with me too....
When you flash with odin the firmware certenely includes a new bootloader, to grid off the exclamation mark you have to flash the old bootloader before using the TA. Because now I have a custom recovery it's say "custom", any way to turn official?

Played around with some changes about 3 months ago, ended up going back to stock very quickly. I was playing around with things I knew nothing about. So basically my phone is how it would be had I never messed with it, except for the custom counter. I want to trade this in and get the SGS4, but don't feel like running the risk of them checking it. I'm a newb at this for sure. Can some one give me a little run down of if this is still working and what exactly to do? Also it's for Sprint

I have a problem after resetting the counter, and I'm trying to figure out if it depends on that. I have a s3 gt-i9300 was the CyanogenMod I installed the v3.26 TriangleAway I did the download of the additional data and I reset, then I loaded the rom with odin stock 4.3 Italian. I started using the device, and I noticed that the screen remained black and I had to reset to get back the pictures, then getting worse now the screen comes on once a day if all goes well, and the system seems to work below!
it happened to you?

I have T999L, odin flashed stock 4.3 rom with root injected. My status

Counter:0
Binary : official
System: modified

Ran TA, system now OFFICIAL. GREAT SUCCESS!!! Thanks to the dev. Works on tmob t999l.

I guess now i can use odin to flash the stock 4.3 and setting will remain the same?

Hello to everyone
Can you please give me a helping hand ? I need to send my s3 to warranty and I'm trying to reset the flash counter using triangle away. The problem is that it just doesn't work, after running the program, following the instructions, reboot, volume up - it says success but actually when I check the flash counter it is still the same (5). I tried this on both back-to-n00t rom and also on stock rom 4.3 - still no valid result. Am I doing something wrong ?
LE. I managed to reset the flash counter (somehow) by flashing cm11, resetting the counter (showed 1 custom rom). Since I need 0, I've flashed stock rom again (different csc from the one before), flashed recovery, root, triangle away -> not working = not changing the counter.
As a last resort I think I'll try another stock version by luck, maybe this one will do the job.

1. Flash custom kernel that supports Triangle away, i used Boeffla.
2. Reset counter
3. Shut down the phone (don,t reboot)
4. Flash stock rom via Odin.

If you have i9305 and Knox bootloader you cant reset counter.

But I did use some kernel that supports triangle away - in my case I used CM11 (it got me from flash counter 5 to 1)...but I haven't got to 0.
I will try what you said later today.
Do I need to flash kernel using odin (maybe even with root-custom recovery?) or I can flash it as a zip from cwm ?
Thank you for your answer.

Easiest way is to use app called Flashify. Odin or zip will do fine also. You must be rooted with Triangle away.
Flashify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
