[TRICK] [GAMELOFT HD GAMES] make it PLAYABLE on ARMv6 DEVICES ~

This TRICK is not only for LG P500 but for ALL ARMv6 DEVICES !!!

before you install any Gameloft HD Games' go to system/ mount as R/W look for build.prop EDIT.

look for this line below.. (it depends on your device)

ro.product.model=LG-P500
ro.product.manufacturer=LGE

change it to.. .

ro.product.model=HTC-Desire
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC

save and reboot.. .

now install the game put the cache file to the right directory gameloft/games

• highly recommended to get the SD CACHE for ARMv6 (HVGA) instead of letting the game download the cache needed (After legally purchasing the game)
• just make sure that you downloaded the right APK which is for ARMv6 (HVGA Screen) not for TEGRA2* NVIDIA* PowerVR* ADRENO* Etc.. .

Sorry, but first - Desire is Armv7, second - it's WVGA. This means that even if the game installs it won't run properly.

There is a site where many games are being ported for Optimus One and similar devices. I can't name it (Forum rules), but i'll give you a hint - it is russian.

yeah i know that Desire is ARMv7 but the reason why you have to edit the build.prop is to FOOL the installer (APK) to run the game

anyway' im not pushing everyone to do this' im just sharing it

The game may install but it simply won't run. Or if it runs it will download WVGA game data instead of HVGA....

What an amazing find
I was tired of finding modded games for p500 !
Games like avatar, realfootball 11 work hassle free
Previously i used to use chainfire 3d with the PowerVR plugins in order to play these games cause they do NOT seem to fit our screen.
Now all we need is a multitouch fix and none of us need to shell an extra 10k INR for another High End phone.

no problem about NFS Shift even if you did not use this method.. .

maybe what he was talking about was the latest NEED FOR SPEED : HOT PURSUIT .. i havent tried it yet but i red something that its playable but the touch control is not working.. . i will try it soon and i will update you guys how it works.. .

use root explorer .. go to system/ click the R/W above then long press on build.prop and edit in text change the product & manufacturer mentioned on 1st page and save..

Okay, I appologise, but this only skips device checking, so you still need the right cache and cannot play ARMv7 ONLY games (Newest games, like Asphalt 6). All I said is that ARMv7 ONLY games still won't run and games will still download WVGA Caches. I don't mean to be rude, but you've got me wrong. Doesn't matter. I don't want to argue with you. So I appologise again and give you a thanks.

exactly.. that's why u are still need to find a cache for armv6 (hvga screen)
