Tried to move photos to ext SD, gone to lost.dir

Can I recover them? The files look to be the right size. It isn't corruption, I just guess the kernel couldn't take the gbs of copying. Recuva a good option?

I'm going out today, I've renamed the folder, will that keep it safe until later? I'd assume so.

Lost directory is the folder where broken or error files are put .
Often due to read/ write failure .
Copy them out and see .
