Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful! Only one thing, I can't seem to acces the fat32 partition. When I plug in my phone (with WP7) and transfer files (EXT4 folder for example), magld doesn't see the EXT4 folder. When I put my sd card in my cardreader, Windows 7 doesn't recognize anything. USB mass storage in magldr doesn't work either (works for a couple of seconds and than I can't acces the sd card anymore). Can you help me out please? :)

WP7 has some issues with some SD cards & cannot see or read them, try another card, i'm using Sandisk 16g with no problem so far but I had some issues with Kingston & Transcend.

Ext4 cannot be viewed in the PC & if you like to see the files that are there try to use Root Browser or some ROM manager app, the only partition that will be viewable on your PC is the FAT32 one, Ext4 & WP7 partition are used by the system.

Try to re-do the process & make sure the WP7 partition is more than half the SD card OR you can try to experiment first on which size partition will work.

Can I use this to dual boot latest android Jelly Bean build and latest WP7 build? If so what are the steps to installing the latest android build after installing the latest WP7 build? And btw my volume down button doesn't work, which I know doesn't help.lol

@Jcamacho228

same steps at first post & you can try touch recovery or TWRP to flash andy, you can get the SD version but still to need to scroll to boot from SD, cant remember if the menu scrolls with the Vol. up button only :p

No you aren't, you're either using cwm on magldr or cwm on cLK,, , sounds to me like you are confusing cwm and cLK which are totally different things.
Yup sorry I got confused between cwm and clk, so if I want to install windows on nand using clk (-not magdlr .How will I then able to boot my native SD using clk ?

nice

nice tutorial samsamuel, very clear :)
i set up a magldr win 7 in nand and android with native sd ext4 on my 64gb sandisk.
i used a 32gb disc to make a 15gb win 7 partition and used mintool partition wizard to copy it to the 64 gb.
it took 1 1/2 hours to make the 15gb partition???? but got there eventually.
i did worry when android wouldnt boot but remembered that i hadnt deleted the 200mb first partition. once it was deleted all was well :D
and... i managed to do the whole thing without formatting my laptop harddrive ;) (sorry soulforger)

Don't know if anyone has problems like mine?
I follow the tutorial to partition the SD card, after making sure that WP7 (Ansar's 8878 V2) can boot normally, I install Tytung's Jellybean V1.3a NativeSD version. First bootup was fine, but second or third bootup (after "GOGOGO") was looped at white htc screen.
Here is my environment:
HD2 TMOUS
SanDisk®Ultra™ microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I card 32G C10

I suspect 2 points:
1. WP7's partition is not big enough : The WP7 partition is about 6G, since I dont need so big space(larger than 1/2 SD space ~16G) for WP7. I'll follow the tutorial to make WP7 partiiton larger than 1/2 to check if the problem still happens.
2. Sandisk's problem : I've seen a post from another forum, that the same problem happens on other's Sandisk card, but not on Kingston's.

Happy New Year!

install android after installation of Windows phone 7

Hi,
Everything seems to work ok. Installation of Windows phone 7 worked. But it screws up the magldr?
Now I can not install android anymore the way I used to. (flash a zip file to it)
Is it only possible with the 4ext tools now? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31414628#post31414628)

I guess my nandroid backup is useless now ?

I tried the same tutorial on ubuntu too, but did not find a way to copy the win 7 partition.

I have a 32GB sd card and I only want WP to use maybe 2GB of it at the most... is there any way I can do that? Or am I forced to lose about half of my SD card to it?

i'm not sure but 2gb seems to be small for WP7 unless you won't put much in it, but then again the partition thing about it having less than the FAT & Ext4 is not sure if it will run. I hope there are some here that have tried it already.

Or you could give it a shot & let us know :cowboy:

I've been trying many different things... many things and nothing I do will work, guess I'll just have to deal with it.
