That flickering, I don't think it's an issue. All you gotta go is, settings, factory settings, password 8888, audi, and there should be a screen settings, like q5 800x480 or something like that, just try different options. And you should be fine. Just gotta find your option in this case. If you won't be able to find it, I can look it up tmr and add some screenshots if u need.

Other than updates, MCU is a hardware based changes and optimization, and 3.08 is a software based update for the Android operating system itself, including the audi support. I didn't notice any changes, except for some audi pictures have been added, A6L and etc. Also b4 I had an issue with the android auto auto launching, it would not startup properly when I start the car, I had to turn off the Bluetooth and the wifi on my phone, and then turn everything on again, and after that it would connect. After update, looks like it's fixed and I don't have to do it again.

Also, what kind of boot animation do you have, when the android is starting?
Mine had Android, or the Warning message. After searching a little bit, I actually found an Audi bootscreen.
Hey. i think i got it all running as it should now, i used one of the A6L 800x400 and it all seams to work as it should.
I got a nice Audi boot logo, and its animated when the Android is starting up, looks kinda cool. this is the logo. No more Android Logos..

As far as me, I got no clue. But I don't mind helping you out and try to figure it out. If you don't mind attaching some screenshots of the issue, and menu options as well. So we could see what settings you have and what might fix the issue.

Any updates done recently or any changes to the unit or its settings?
I updated the unit to 3.04. What should I choose for CCC iDrive?

Hi guys new to the forum but is there a way to get rid of the Android boot animation after update? Before this 2.05 update it was only the BMW logo in place of the Android boot start up(now). The seller gave me a HUTUpdate.rar for the USB to plug into HU which still didnt work.. Only thing it manages to replace was 1st part of the boot image but not the second part of the Android boot animation. Many thanks!

Remove bootanimation.zip from the OS folder and update the firmware again, there will be no splash screen. You can make your own and throw your bootanimation.zip into the firmware.

Thanks you mean bootanimation.zip from the HUTUpdate.rar file the seller gave me or the bootanimation.zip file from the OS update pack? Or do you mean the bootanimation.zip from OS folder of the Android HU itself? Sorry very new to this.

Yes, no problem, write the old firmware to USB and update
Thanks do you know if we are able to actually downgrade to 1.97 without bricking the unit? Incase this doesnt eliminate the Android boot animation.
Yes, no problem, write the old firmware to USB and update PS: MCU too. no restrictions, it works on my device

Yes you can upgrade and downgrade, yes you can bootanimation without update.zip
Thanks I love you! Do I need to update my MCU as well? I dont know if my version of MCU is good or not. Because everytime I listen to music from USB and want to browse the next song on the list, it always puts me back to the top of the song list and I would have to scroll down and find the songs again frustrating!! Haha😆

    Just updated to version 3.04.

    It seems faster.
No major changes in the interface or new things...
    There is a 5.09 version, 3.04 is old :)

What did it solve for you? The joystick problem?
Yes. First my joystick was with haptic feedback but i recode it with ncsexpert to remove it. After recoding it working only up and down. After mcu update it start working. The version of headunit is XRC_BM_OS_1.99.
You'll need NCS EXPERT TOOL from the Bimmer geeks standard Bmw tools. - Load Ncs Expert - From File menu, click Load profile - Click Revtor's Ncs Expert profile and click OK - After that click START - then click Chassis - then select the model of the car which you are going to code (the e90 models are marked as e89) - when you select the model click OK - the on the next menu choose CAS and click OK - when the information loads up on the screen click BACK - after that click on CHOOSE ECU - after that select the module CAPPL and click okay - next is to click on CHANGE JOB - select CODIERDATEN_LESEN and click OK - after that click on EXECUTE JOB - coding will begin and it will generate a file in the local C drive of the computer in the NCSEXPER profile folder and then in the WORK folder (the file.is called FSW_PSW) (it has to be TRC file. ( i will send you. video about this step. - open that file and search for ZBE - when you find.it, below it change the HIGH setting to low - after that save the file as a FSW_PSW.MAN file - After that go back to ncs expert and select again CHANGE JOB -select SG_CODIEREN and click Ok - click on EXECUTE JOB and you're done.with everything here is the link for the BMW STANDART TOOLS: https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads

Hi all, I'm uploading the latest OS for ZLH type devices from my seller (KJ NAVI 002). Please verify your device is ZLH before using. I am on MCU ZLH_BMH230523A_8581_N2. This update resolves an issue I'd had with Z-Link initial connection for Android Auto wireless; but also seems to drop the Z-Link wireless connection more frequently, so please test at your discretion. Other changes appear to be minor, including some app updates and some settings menu additions I don't understand, and they've updated the fake Android version number to 13...

I'd greatly appreciate if anyone can point me towards an MCU update for my troubleshooting. I haven't seen MCu files in any of our uploads so far, but perhaps I missed it and my seller doesn't understand the difference between OS and MCU.

Hi, new BMW 3.04 Coika firmware (didn't check it, but assume should be fine)

I was just sent this BMW update ZLH_BM_OS_8581_1.94 . This will work if you have the Unisoc UIS8581a processor. Im not sure if it will work with snapdragon. It is still full of bugs and didnt fix my idrive issue.
