I'm pretty sure mine is. Has the following chipset, discovered when I use a pc with backtrack: ASUSTek Computer, Inc. RT2573 - using the mac80211 rt2500usb/rt73usb drivers

Its one of the ones listed. Don't I need to compile the .ko modules for ARM? If so, how do I do this and where do I find them?
How would i know that info. Is thrre a serial or manufacture number on aircard

Easy does it....the Complete Linux Installer has a Backtrack download option+guide....!!!

However.the Kismetwireless Android-pcap supports; Any wireless device based on the RTL 8187 chipset should work. This chipset can be found in many different wireless devices, but is easily found in the Alfa One NIC (the 802.11b/g version, not the 802.11a/b/g/n). This card has the advantage of being easy to get (Amazon, other online retailers), it's reasonably powerful and sensitive, and if you already use Kismet you probably already have one.

So,the ALFA AWUS036H 500mW (Realtek RTL8187L - rtl8187) has one(good choice) and here is a list of devices with that chipset on board.....forget about that PatriotBox shizzle, the only thing that matters are the L/B devices on the list.....!!!
