Yes, but it's kernel job, if kernel support voltage ac control. On LG G2 dev Dorimanx implemented this, on G4 i think nobody. It's stweaks scripts.

right i remember now with dorimanx you could choose several. i remeber it now.. what kernel are you using? maybe show it to kernel dev. but i think ti will need an app like doris.

I bought an USB voltmeter. With original adapter the G4 is charging with 0.4-0.6 A. And yes, dont unplug the phone when 100% is reached. My one still was charging 3 hrs.

My amperometer show me LG original adapter charging 1.6A with 5.5V when device have low power, above 80% is slowing down to 1-1.2A

I tried to charge my battery with older charger from old Lumia 800 and it looks that slower charging really helps to get longer battery life. I estimate 30% better battery life.

My best score on stock is 6,5 hr and almost 6hrs on Resurrection Remix(score on stock was without root or unlocked bootloader). I'm charging my phone with 0.5A LG charger and remember to DISABLE LOGD. It improves standby time, you can also use force doze(if on 6.0) it improved standby time significantly

Once upon a time I was getting 3 hours like you. You have to "disable logd". Search forum, it is a very good for our G4 battery life.
No I am taking 5.5-6 hours sot. (disabled logd, auto sync off, smart bulletin off)

Really? For me it worked without root and now with root it causes a lot of problems so I went with greenify instead(it might be because of doze rework in android 7.x)
