[Tutorial] Add additional apps to Multi Window without needing root [Verizon]

if you are rooted go to the dev section. it is really hard to decompile/recompile these apps. i wasn't able to do it as it kept saying JAVA wasn't installed.
Why would you want to MultiView a music player? Isn't the whole point of a music player to play music while you do something else?
some of us like to manage our songlists and pick our songs rather than use a playlist... plus i need constant access to my EQ.
thank you for the attempt. i am fairly new to android..only about a year. tried rooting my vzw galaxy tab..and apparently verizon is good about locking stuff as you already know and as weve seen..features get disabled or errors..and its something im not confident in doing on my device yet.
as for why..i would like to have the music app up while having messaging or browsing up so i can easily change songs, im not a fan of pulling down menu to do it..but if thats what i must do..then thats what i must do.

The instructions for this are a lot easier compared to other roots IMO. I think it has 9 or 10 steps... some of them are, download these files, unzip, plug the chord in, make sure it is connected, etc...
Really, probably the easiest root i've had. I've had no FC. nothing is deleted either. i would seriously consider sitting down for 30 minutes, reading the instructions and then trying to execute it. better now when you can still return the device than later when you can't

Non hd version and NOVA LAUNCHER!? Lol. I have the tapatalk hd version that was posted but it's a headache to use on the note 2.Thank you much and merry Christmas.

Using Netflix and when I play a movie then use another app like Chrome while multi it stops playing the movie, any way around this?
work around, drop the netflix on the top, drop chrome on the bottom, go back to netflix and hit play, while it's loading, switch to chrome, now netflix should be playing while you scrolling and navigating with chrome.

Awesome instructions and it worked great for me with Solitaire. I noticed Solid Explorer already has it covered too. I hope more app devs figure this out and add these tidbits into their manifest so we don't have to, but this works in the meantime. :good:

As to the APK-Multi-Tool, there were some additional tidbits in setting it up that might help.

I'll give it a shot. You have to get the APK file, so if you don't have root it may not be possible. I recommend trying the free app "App Backup and Restore". It will backup APK's that are not protected to your phone, then you can grab them off the phone and put them onto your PC.
As to the APK-Multi-Tool, there were some additional tidbits in setting it up that might help.
- You must have Java installed on your PC to run the scripts.
- After unzipping the package, open a command window (I ran it as Admin, just in case). Run the "setup.bat" script first and select option 3. Hit control-c to stop the script without closing the window.
- Place the APK to edit in the newly created folder called "place-apk-here-for-modding". Then you run the script and away you go! For me, I used option 9, then edited the manifest file, then option 11 then option 13. Finally uninstalled the APK and then copied the new one over and reinstalled.

Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but this method breaks updating from the market.
I've noticed.
Also I've noticed that upon installation of super video and floating browser from the market it shows up in the multi Window bar. No mod applied.
