my information in my bootloader is not updating, even though I already restored my phone to 3.28.709.6, the information when i get fastboot getvar all, is still returns the value of 4.24.709.2, and i find it weird. So if thats the case i should be on 3.28.709.6 before i can downgrade to 3.28.709.5, is that correct?

another question.
When i restored to 3.28.709.6 and update via ota to 5.0.1 , and then when the installation of the update was finished it stucks on the screen with the red exclamation point. why is that so?
You can't downgrade hboot with S-On device.
That's why it get stuck when doing OTA from a more than one lower version than your current hboot.

Thanks a lot ckpv5! So the nandroid backup I need is the 1.57.599.1?
Also I am S-ON I wasn't able to S-OFF before this happened :S

Also, do you know which Nandroid Backup can I use? I need to fully restore the OS on this one :S

Thanks!
As mentioned earlier, HTC__332 is weird because it has many version.
And as I said I have only one available that fit your CID/MID i.e 1.57.599.1

So give it a try but you need TWRP installed ... read post #1 thoroughly.
and it doesn't matter S-Off or S-On.

EDIT: I am sorry I didn't realized the link was provided at the OP! I am downloading right now! Thanks a lot! I'll tell you how it goes =3

Thanks! I have read it! But I don't find the 1.57.599.1 backup, and your post states I need to ask for it to get it... so could you please provide me with a download link? Thanks a lot for your help and time! I've noticed that the cellphone works if I flash a boot.img, but all the ones I've used make my phone work but Wifi can't be switched on, do you know why?

Cheers!

Link added to post #2 before I replied your earlier post.

Wifi not working because your hboot is too low for the ROM you installed.

Read again post #1 then try OTA. If successful then that's the correct backup.

Ok I installed and the rom worked! I got to boot on the phone and got wifi and all... but when I installed the update which upgrades the phone to 4.4.3... it boots and just stays on the white background HTC logo.... and it does nothing... do you know what else am I missing?

Ok after letting it sit for some time IT WORKED! The phone now is fully functional and it was updated to 4.4.3 Android, 6.0 Sense and 2.25.599.1 Software. I will do a Nandroid Backup right now just in case! Although I can use the one you provided to restore and then OTA again right?

You really are a life saver! THANKS A LOT!
Thanks for your help you really rule!

As written on post #1, you should make multiple OTA until the latest/current one then only do Nandroid backup because once you upgraded, all the lower version has no use for your device unless it is S-Off.

You should do after one another OTA : 1.57.599.1 --> 2.25.599.1 --> 3.36.599.2 --> 4.20.599.3

Hopefully you will be able to update successfully to the latest one. Then it's up to you to install any custom ROM or stay on stock, you won't have wifi problem anymore.

Thanks for the donation... highly appreciated.

Just updating! xD

I was able to update OTA aaaall the way up to 5.0.1!

Now I am standing at Lollipop 5.0.1, Sense 6.0 Main 4.20.599.3 Unlocked Bootloader S-ON NO ROOT.
I'll stay stock and just go on from there! I just wanted to thank you for all your help! You rule! =3

So I need to be S-off first and then is it required to downgrade my HBOOT so that I can update via OTA?
Yeah ... only S-Off can downgrade hboot.

BUT .. I still believe your camera problem is a hardware failure. Unfortunately you bought a device not meant for your country. so no warranty to cover it.

The only way to get S-OFF is by paying for it, $25.00 US. Worth every penny/cent. Go here: http://theroot.ninja/
You do not pay if it won't work. You must be as close to stock as possible for it to work. Follow the instructions on the page.

I don't think I keep that version, have to check tomorrow.
But it won't do any good for you because you can't do OTA when the backup you restore is more than one version lower than what you have now. Only S-Off device can do that.

Sir do you know anyone has stock nandroid backup for 3.28.709.5? Or where can I possibly get in, because i've search here in forums and yet, no one responds.
Okay.
This is unconfirmed and I don't know how it will work, but you could try the 3.28.709.5.zip from here.
Please realize that you will also need to flash the stock recovery.
The problem is you own a device that isn't used by many people here. You would be more successful in your search if you looked at Asian sites.
