Warning: Step V. Remove Bootloader Warning causes bootlop on SM-T220 running T220XXU1CVL7_T220OXM1CVL7_XAR. Had to reflash entire system via Odin to recover.
Well yeah, because that file was designed for an Android 11-based bootloader and not the Android 13 you're running. To recover, you only had to reflash the BL (bootloader) Odin file for your firmware. There's another thread with the right up_param file for A13.Warning: Step V. Can you please put a warning in Step V or a link to the Android 13-compatible up_param? Good to know!To be honest, all the up_param does is replace that warning screen with a blank black screen, ur not really getting rid of the warning (speeding up boot to system)
Already replied to you in the other thread. I cannot edit the original post because I'm not the original poster. Can you please put a warning in Step V or a link to the Android 13-compatible up_param? Thanks!
Yes, it is a cosmetic change.
Thanks for the guide in getting the OEM Unlock working.7. DISCONNECT from internet after a few seconds. You'll see it trying to update things in the pull down menu, disconnect from internet, you don't want it to update anything. It just needs to be connected long enough to update the day and time to the correct day and time, and register your device. If it didn't work, it didn't register your device yet.
After checking for a manual update under Software Update and getting a result, I disconnected wifi and proceeded with xbt-'s guide I believe. Then I was able to unlock the bootloader.5. Go to developer options and turn it off (click on the right top corner toggle)
6. Now go to software update and check for a manual update, after result is shown restart your device. IMPORTANT: After the phone has rebooted, your date and time should be reset to the current time automatically
is this model lte? im about to throw this t227u in the trash im so aggravated with it. now i see why people use ipads for their cars instead of android tablets lolBought at Bestbuy 64GB 4GB ram model SM-T220
SM-T220NZAFXAR
Build number: .............T220XXU1AVE1
Were you ever able to unlock the bootloader? Recently picked one up and trying to root itIs there anyway to get this to work for T-227? I had no luck on my attempts following these instructions - can't unlock OEM.
When I tried to do that (I had to manually rename boot.tar), it did not work. So, for the hell of it, i just used the boot.tar as it was..and no problem!@1984Shovelhead on the linked tutorial reported that if you make your own boot file to flash, you have to name it boot.img.tar, not boot.tar, because boot.tar will not flash. Updated instructions.
Same here. I don't use the tablet so it isn't a big issue but I don't know if these things ever get fixed eventually? First time rooting.has anyone got the latest firmware rooted? my device doesn't boot with the rooted firmware and keeps on looping but works fine without the root
I had rooted my tab back on android 11 and ever since then I have rooted the latest firmware and flashed it on to keep the tab updated, however these last few updates don't like to get rooted for some reasonSame here. However on my mission today I did find this reddit thread which helps a lot of people with Odin stuck on setup connection: https://redd.it/6nb51r. Worked for me.
Downgrade to the android 11 firmwareI have got a A7 lite tab (SIM vr) from our govt, I recently remove my Knox security by simply unlocking the bootloader of my device but my friend has updated to the latest patch of security and now the OEM unlock in developer option is auto off and I can't even change it.
Also the factory rest is off and its not even showing in stock recovery.
Can any one know how to fix this issue.
I'm not sure if the user can due to the Security Number difference (11 is 3 IIRC and 13 is 5, therefore making it impossible)
boot.img.lz4
from Stock AP...tar
file, then copy it to Tabboot.img
from boot.img.lz4
boot.img
that you have just extracted from step 3magisk_patched.img
(in Tab\download
) to pc, rename it to boot.img
boot.img
from step 5 into boot.img.tar
T220XXU1AUJ1
it's magisk_patched-23000_acKsR.tar
), it will probably be a zip, if so you'll need to unpack it to a tar (you can use 7zip for that). The two T225 files were pulled from here. The T220 file (my device) was pulled from here. I inserted and attached them for future proofing and to make it easier for you./storage/emulated/0/Download/up_param.tar
su
cd /
dd if=/storage/emulated/0/Download/up_param.tar of=/dev/block/platform/bootdevice/by-name/up_param
Nice guide, unfortunately I don't have much money, thus don't have one of these tablets. I will, however, save up for one.
