Hello, root is only available on Lollipop and since there were no clear explanation on how to get it on the LG G4 Bell/Virgin here it is..

Download and extract everything on the desktop

Install
-LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23.exe
-LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3.exe
-LGUnitedMobile_Win_Driver_Ver_3.14.1.exe

Downgrade to Lollipop 5.1
-Open LGUP load stock firmware
-Select upgrade
-Select stock KDZ file (H81210n_00_1204.kdz) then close
-Open LGUP again
-Select refurbish, your KDZ file should still be selected
-Click START. Downgrade should take a few minutes

When it get to 100%
Copy rooted image (rootedsystem.img) to the phone main directory

Enable USB debugging on your device

-Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information
-Tap build number until you are presented with "You are now a developer"
-Exit back to Settings main screen
-In Developer Options enable USB Debugging

Start a command prompt LG_Root folder

-In LG_Root folder hold shift and right click a blank space you should see "Open command window here"
-Leave the command prompt window open

Put G4 in Download mode
-Power off your device completely
-Hold volume up and insert a USB cable connected to the PC
-Wait for the drivers to install

Which COM port our device is connected to
-Double click ports.bat (look for the Diag port)
-Close this command prompt window when you have your COM port number

Keep G4 in Download mode
-Back to the command prompt that we left open (LG_Root folder)
-type:

Send_Command.exe \\.\COM5

Mine is COM5 yours might be something else
-type:

id

-press enter
You should get back some text like this:

uid=(0)root gid=(0)root

-type:

dd if=/data/media/0/rootedsystem.img bs=8192 seek=65536 count=548352 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0

-After a few minutes you should get back this:

#

-This indicates the process has finished.
-Type:

LEAVE

-Press enter. Your phone should reboot, and your phone will be rooted.

Get Xposed
-Install flashfire from playstore
-Select Flash Zip
-Select xposed-v86-sdk22-arm64.zip
-uncheck automount
-uncheck mount system read/write
-Flash it
-Wait for the phone to reboot
-Install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk

ALL DONE!

Wysłane z mojego LG-H815 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Simple answer ... NO!

You will still have a locked bootloader unless you can OFFICIALLY unlock it through LG.

IF, you want a custom recovery, please check out steadfasterX's [LOCKED][G4][TWRP][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP-in-FIsH for all locked G4 devices at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/locked-twrpinfish-locked-g4-devices-t3573048
It's been tested on a number of devices with locked bootloaders and works like a charm. Version 3 Beta 4 and 5 seem VERY stable and links to those downloads are available in the later posts on that site.

However, you will not be able to install MM or a custom Rom until efidroid is successfully ported to LG G4's (steadfasterX is working on it), UNLESS you have officially unlocked your bootloader.
