Hi,
I'm having trouble even getting the option for 4G to appear on my phone!
I initially had the option for "3G only" and "2G/3G auto" but I changed the SKU and it gave an extra option for "2G only".
This is going the wrong way as I want the 4G/LTE auto option.

Can anyone advise me what SKU/Radio type I need for this?

Phone: HTC One M7
Network: O2 (now 3) Ireland

The Developer SKU is 132, yes?

Dont edit the radio . Have you ever seen 4g with other roms or sofware? Are you sure you have a 4g sim?

Yes, I am positive I can get 4G.
I type *#*#4636#*#* on my dialer and go into phone settings.
I can then test with the LTE auto and LTE only and they all get me 4G/LTE.

Even a speed test confirms this.

Last week I went into my provider and got a new 4G SIM and ensured 4G was enabled on my account. I only had 4G enabled recently so never saw it on a previous ROM.

So I can get 4G but I have to go into the hidden settings. I am just looking for a solution to enable auto permanently.

Im from India and I have International version of M7.
I left the region code as Global (0) and Radio Type - UMTS_LTE (4) and selected SKU ID as HTC_ASIA_INDIA = 33 which was previously HTC_WWE_EASTEUROPE = 99.
I didnt find any difference in signal strength and the call drops continued as usual. I dont know whether this procedure would change anything but it was worth a try.

I use for my country, I live in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

It is that I have problems, I suddenly hangs up, and I have problems with making calls and problems RECEIVE signal of call provider.

Currently I'm using these parameters, but do not live in North America but America center and not the option I get ... you know which choose?

Problem solved

Not if we're all here looking for the same solution but in my case I could solve the annoying icon unknown to my phone sim HTC One M8 Verizon, live in the Dominican Republic in the orange network and what I did was change the sku_id> 13 <I had a> 46 <and region 1 save the changes and restart goodbye message of unknown sim probe data, and calls everything is working well

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. This was the final thing that was bugging me, and it helped more than I expected!

I have a verizon htc one m8 -- rooted running marshmallow 6.0 from Dottat.

I'm using it on cricket's network, so I used DFS to changed the frequencies of the radio to ATT's bands, but the non verizon sim message kept coming up! I was annoyed by it, and wanted to remove it, so I came here. I tried some other radio and sku numbers.

I found that Setting the radio type did have an effect upon what network settings I could choose. The best was 4 for the radio and 8 for the sku on the cricket network. I'm happy to report that I'm getting the fastest 8mb/s download rate on their LTE network now (capped at 8mb). I was only getting max 4mb before on H+. I used to need to use the network switch app, but it activates LTE automatically now with these settings.

I've tried this on my phone however after doing this I've noticed that the bubble counter on the stock messaging app for the new messages was not showing. Additionally, the tabs inside the messaging app such as "All messages", "SMS/MMS", "Voice Mail" are messed up. Have you encounter this issue after doing this?

hi , thanks a lot for solution it works for me ,
I am from Romania and I use Vodafone sim card on my htc one m7 Verizon s/off, rooted,custom rom, with known issue, when restarted allways popup "sim from unknown source"
I modify also region with 6 for europr and sku to 64 for Vodafone Germany , because my romainian vodafon I didn/t find nowhere. after that , the message with sim unknown was disappear ., the signal is same but I will try different sku.

To change region and SKU_ID use a root explorer (Root explorer, ES File Explore etc. Don't forget to mount system read-write and give the app SU privileges when asked.)

Open: "/system/customize/ACC/default.xml"

Scroll to the end:

Edit "<item type="integer" name="region">X</item>" and "<item type="integer" name="sku_id">X</item>" according to the list above.

When done, REBOOT your device.


For safety always make a backup in recovery before editing files in your system
