will try

So I got the drivers installed but when I enter adb sideload on my phone it still just says starting. I tried sideloading a rom anyways and a whole mess of stuff shows up but doesn't reboot my phone or anything.
Use the folder I attached to open the cmd window

Will this work if I'm using Mac OS X? Tried flashing a CM rom and my phone's 3G won't work but LTE still does. Had to switch back to my iPhone so am using the phone as its soft bricked right now.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work; I know that you save 10 or more people a week. Thankfully, I've never needed your assistance, but I think your doing a great job. :highfive:

Hi,
I am in a bit of a dilemma. I don't know whether I soft-bricked the phone or not but my problem was that ADB would show my phone as offline. So I followed all the steps except that I used CWM 6.0.4.3 instead of TWRP 2.6.3.0. I tried but the TWRP just wouldn't download from the link provided. It would just get stuck at 99.99%. Rest all the steps I followed to the word and the ROM I chose was OMJs 4.3 Rooted stock. The problem now is 2-tier.
1) the command adb devices now shows nothing. Earlier it was showing it as offline but now it doesn't even show the serial no.
2) I can't get root. SuperSU that came installed with the ROM can't install binaries.

Please help me if you can as I need root so I can unlock the phone for GSM use.
Thanks.

Sorry double post.
I ran into the same "offline" problem last night with someone else I have been searching for a solution.
I found this but have yet to try it. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-developers/bYHeMm0qf2g
If you try please report back if it works :D

I'm in the devices manager and I found my device but the update driver is grayed out..
Uninstall everything HTC from your PC
Unplug phone
Reboot PC
Install these drivers(32 or 64 bit depending on your PC OS aswell as the other driver 2 total installs)
Plug phone in and let the drivers install

Okay got it. Sorry to be a pain but can you walk me through pulling up the cmd window as well? Do you just pull it up on the homescreen of your pc or do you need to do that inside of a certain file and then pull it up?

If you use the folder attached in post 1
open the folder and press shift and right click in an empty area and choose open cmd here :D

After I flashed the firmware zip and twrp back on I wiped everything dept internal storage, flashed the Rom...let it sit for a while, some reason with that viperromrc2 it never boots on first try. Rebooted and everything was good. And you just hold shift in the folder where your fastboot files are and right click. Or open cmd and do CD c:/whateverthedirectoryis

viperromrc2 seems to take a long time to boot so be patient
The guy I was helping who inspired this guide it took over 30 minutes to boot
