I found it, thanks! Now I am unable to get my tokens so that I can unlock. I received them once a couple of days ago but did not copy them and now i am unable to get them again, i keep getting a error message. Was it a one time deal or is there some way that I can get them again?

I never submitted the token to htcdev, so there is no email. I didn't copy them when they showed up and somehow closed terminal, ever since then I have been unable to receive them again.
You should be able to do the process again at htc-Dev and get the token then submit it and they will email you the unlock_code.bin
If you have trouble submitting the token copy and paste it in a PM and I'll try to submit for you :D

I'm not having trouble submitting it, I am unable to get the tokens a second time.

Have you gotten them from the same computer?
Yes, the reason I did it was do I had the unlock code saved to a folder on my pc so I didn't have to do the process again :D

So I have 2.15.651.16 withHboot 2.09 wanna get a custom rom... What do i do 1st? I have a mac, do the mac tut still work?
Just download the Root Files (first link) and it should work fine on a Mac.
I also suggest downloading the Older versions of TWRP (post 2) and use v2.3.1.0 or v2.3.3.0 it seems there may be some issues wit v2.4.2.0

Hi XDA,

Been away for awhile and I want to bring my Evo up to date so I can flash the new hotness from team Viper. I am hoping that I can get some guidance on how to get from where I am to where I need to be.

In recovery this is what it reads:

Tampered
Unlocked
Jewel PVT ship S-ON RL
HBOOT 1.12.0000
Radio-1.02.12.0427
OpenDSP v25.1.0.32.0405
eMMC - boot
Apr 26 2012, 19:54:01

About reads:

Android version 4.04
PRI 2_28_003
PRL 25006

If I need to provide anything else let me know.

Running Viper4g 2.02 and a CMW (that doesn't seem to work) but not afraid to try something new. If I have to step through each upgrade in turn I am totally fine with doing that - whatever is healthiest. Everything saved a few times over so nothing to lose if I have to go backwards first.

I use mostly Fedora 17, sometimes Snow Leopard, and have adb running fine everywhere. I can boot into Win7 if needed but would rather stay in nix if it is possible.

I use my phone to connect to several servers via connectbot and a VPN, and if it weren't for those tools and all of you here giving me a more secure environment I would not ever be able to leave the keyboard. (and yes, I do sleep with it in my hand just in case)

So as you can imagine it needs to stay secure, clean, stable and healthy so the planet keeps spinning for all of my clients while I watch my daughter own the pitch.

I appreciate all of the hard work and community here, and will check back in a few hours to see if anyone has suggestions for an upgrade path.

;)

Thank you!!!

Deirdre

PS. Who sawed my sdcard directory into two? Grrrrr ...

You have 2 options
1. Re-lock your bootloader and take the OTA(Over The Air) update from HTC/Sprint then unlock(HTC-DEV)/flash TWRP Recovery(CWM is not recommended for our phones) then install SuperSU/Superuser(or flash Viper it's included in the rom)
or
2. Use DirtyRacun or FacePalm to S-OFF your device then you can install the update from Captain_Throwback's Firmware/Radios thread

Option 2 will save you a lot of headaches in the future and is highly recommended :D

PM me if you have any questions BD619

What I personally did was RUU back to stock, take the OTA, reflash recovery and go from there. If you're comfortable, you can S-OFF using facepalm, the procedure is pretty simple. It will also save you trouble when doing firmware upgrades and you can just upgrade the firmware via here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704612

Once you're up to date, just flash the latest full ROM. You know about wiping and everything, so you shouldn't have any issues :)
