so I have software ver. 316.651.3 710RD has this version been unlocked? I'm new to this phone. However, I've unloocked my previous EVO's

Technically there is only one method (HTC Dev). Having said that there is a new GUI in Development that's supposed to make things pretty simple. I have a link to it in my guide in my sig. Otherwise, use the method outlined in this thread:thumbup:

I have 2 evo 4g lte's. I just rooted the second one using moonshine again. It's the easiest. Any questions let me know.

Moonshine is for S-off. Rooting & S-off are not the same. The method for S-off varies by Hboot version.

He said he uswd htcdev to unlock already and both of my evo's are software version 3.16.651.3 710RD, so I know for a fact moonshine works cause I've done it twice. Alvin, use rhe links I gave for moonshine and your golden. The zip file for moonshine has a word document that gives you step by step instructions.

Yes, Moonshine is what he needs since he is on the latest OTA (assuming he wants S-off). You keep saying that you rooted via Moonshine, which is simply not the case, as it gives S-off, not root. They aren't the same.
