Ok, I need a little help on the order of updating to JB and rooting my phone.

I just went the S-OFF process. I am on STOCK, S-OFF DirtyRacun, HBOOT 1.19. What is the best order for getting the JB update and gaining root access? I'm confused about updating via the OTA and then rooting, or rooting/installing TWRP and then flashing the OTA JB ROM. I just want to stay stock and gain root on the latest OTA.

Can someone clear this up for me? If I take the OTA will it update the HBOOT and mess with the S-OFF?
Never take the OTA I'm at work right now but when I get home I'll send you a PM that will get you going :D

I have never done the S-OFF although I did the HTC Unlock process. I know there is a hassle installing kernel on this condition and I'm planning to S-OFF. Can I do it like anyone who hasn't done the HTC Unlock process?

Idk, maybe I've been rooted for so long I forgot, on the OG EVO titanium backup worked because I was rooted from day one. I haven't rooted the EVO LTE yet but want to backup all my apps and app data, what's the easiest way to backup up and restore later. Also I would like to backup to SD because my data here at work is the worst.

also i'm on HBOOT 2.09, with current OTA JB update, will this work?

Its Been so Long, I forgot how to do this, I was Stock & locked with the H Boot 2.19. Then I took the Over the Air JB update, I wish to root this, & flash a recovery so I can apply a dif JB rom. Guide me as to what steps to take. Thank You so much. it used to be just 1 click, now it seems so difficult. Unlock, Flash reovery, Flash ruu, flash new rom . how do I do all this the easiest way ?? Thank Guys !!
