Its Been so Long, I forgot how to do this, I was Stock & locked with the H Boot 2.19. Then I took the Over the Air JB update, I wish to root this, & flash a recovery so I can apply a dif JB rom. Guide me as to what steps to take. Thank You so much. it used to be just 1 click, now it seems so difficult. Unlock, Flash reovery, Flash ruu, flash new rom . how do I do all this the easiest way ?? Thank Guys !!
Download this and follow the read me text first install drivers/unlock at HTCdev.com/flash twrp/flash SuperSU and you should be good to go :D http://d-h.st/5zT

The RUU is only if you want to return to stock :D

So does the readme need to be updated or what? I'm confused at this part...

"Make sure USB debugging is checked, (setting/Developer Options add check if USB Debugging is not checked) press shift and right click on the Root_HBOOT_1.19 folder and select "Open A Command Window Here" once open(connect your phone using the USB cable) type "adb devices" without the quotes and hit enter and you should see some letters and numbers letting you know your PC and phone are communicating.Leave the window open you will need to use it to flash TWRP recovery. Let any other drivers install."

Edit.

Figured it out myself, not sure what the above paragraph pertains to in the readme file but it is not needed. I followed the htcdev.com steps to unlock, then skipped that paragraph, and flashed twrp, then su and I'm all set. thanks for the simple method, please update the read me though.

Since I'm on mobile and it's a pain to try and sift through everything, can anyone show me what to do to S-Off my phone? I'm unlocked on 1.12 and running a custom ROM.

Sent from my 1.9GHz HTC EVO 4G LTE.

Check out this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964309. The OP of this link says its good for Hboot 1.15 and 1.19, but when you visit http://unlimited.io/jewel.htm you will see the instructions for Hboot 1.12. Word to the wise, you are ALWAYS going to have to SIFT through information when dealing with your phone unless you want to raise the risk of screwing it up!!! Be patient and smart and take the time to read the proper posts so that you can enjoy the reward of having a kick ass phone!!
