Peace All...

So I'm kinda stuck here and need some advice here: I am S-OFF using DirtyRaccoon's latest exploit. I went from Hboot 1.12 to Hboot 1.19 (of course, now S-OFF). According to Big Daddy's original post in instructions it says that if you have used the latest S-OFF exploit your phone should already be unlocked and all you need to do is flash the Recovery and SU apk. My question is---how do I actually do this? Do I flash the package via Fastboot (since I dont have a a custom recovery)--this question might sound stupid to some---but Im just double checking so that I dont mess anything up.

Download this and in the read me text are instructions on how to flash recovery :D http://d-h.st/bMJ extract it to a folder on your desktop.
If using Win Vista or Win 7 just press shift and right click the folder and choose open cmd window here, then copy and past the command in the cmd window
Win Xp you will have to navigate to that folder (screenshot in post 2) then just follow the instructions in the read me text :D

thanks for all this information..is there a way to just root without going through the S-Off process? I am on the latest OTA JB as well. I am ok with stock JB but want to have full use of Titanium Back-up.

I think something went wrong--I followed READ ME txt and was succesffully able to get TWRP --but not SU--I didnt see it in TWRP---should I flash that also via fastboot? if so what is the code?
BTW--when i S-OFF'ed I used a different SD card b/c I didnt want to lose my files...TWRP was already installed on it...should I have deleted it?

You have to put SU on your sdcard and flash it in twrp like you would flash a rom inside twrp you need to choose internal or external to point to where you saved SU then you will be able to find it :D as for twrp already on your sdcard you should be ok but don't quote me I'm pretty sure it's just your old backups

Rooted on Mac OS (10.8.2-Mountain Lion)

I just finished the process of rooting using this method on Mac OS 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) and have some additional information that I think would be useful to other Mac users. What's the best way to submit this information so it can be appended to the documentation you have in the .zip download package?

I rooted against 3.15.651.16 w/ HBOOT 2.09.

No s-off, but I'm ready to flash a new ROM.

Thanks!

You just save me a ton of time. I S-Offed yesterday with the help of DirtyRacun and Team Unlimited IO. Flashed recovery and superuser in a manner of a few minutes.

It's been a while since I've rooted my phone as this is a replacement.

Figure I'd ask here.
I have an og evo and thinking of getting this phone. Can.the latest update be rooted and s-off, assuming its the same way. Or can I use htcdev. I don't really understand it tho. thanks for the help!!

EDIT: part of this post seems irrelevant

"Can.the latest update be rooted and s-off" correct?

If you are on the latest JB base you can root and unlock the bootloader but cannot get S-OFF
