This is what is confusing me(in post 1) - Root method,3.15.651.16 RUU/HBOOT 2.09,Stock Recovery all in one(1)folder HERE <---- Updated 01/05/13 Pulled for now seems there are some issues with the 3.15 RUU

And that I will likely need to use the Supersu in post 2 if I have issues?

My current situation(STOCK):

To unlock / flash twrp / install a superuser all you need are the root files they are the first choice under downloads

rooted using this method from complete stock. everything worked for about an hour now im getting an error that su binary needs updated. when it goes to update it says failed. i dont know what to do. any suggestions?

Only problem with the 2.09 link is the RUU, you don't need that unless you want to return to stock or you are upgrading from a previous version meaning coming from 1.15 or 1.19
