Apologies, I'm a bit confused:
The two links in the OP say to install both
UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.xx.zip
and
Android_Revolution_HD_Root_and_BusyBox.zip,

but other instruction sets seem to say I just need to install
SuperSU.

Why would I need both?
In fact, wouldn't there be a conflict / overwrite?

I had a quick look and both include an 'su' inside.
I am not sure I need busybox
(though TitaniumBackup will install a version itself I think).

what have I missed completely?

Disregard the 2 links they were for reference when we fist started rooting this device.
I will remove them so there is no more confusion. :)

Ok, so please help a little lol. I downloaded the stock recovery files, now, how do I get it installed? Can you please give a step by step instructions? post 2 looks good, but still confused.. What do you mean by elevated command prompts and navigate to the stock recovery? I've been trying for the last hour and cant figure it out. We're all not PC geeks.. Thanks in advance for the help :))

Elevated command prompt: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/commandlinereference/f/elevated-command-prompt.htm

Navigate to the stock recovery location, meaning once you have the command prompt open, you have to change the folder to whatever the name of the folder that contains your recovery file and the fastboot executable.

I saw that, the problem I'm having now, is after I flash the stock recovery (sorry, a little newb when it comes to command prompts - shift>right click open command from here, then type what is in post 2 instr.) It seems to push the recovery, however, when I attempt to apply the update, the green bar on the phone only loads a third of the way, then goes to a phone with a red exclamation point, and after a minute reboots without updating to the latest software. I'm kinda of new to HTCs methods.. any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

I've never done an OTA but I think you need to be on a stock rom.
Did you make a backup after you unlocked and rooted? If so restore that and try again.

I am on stock rom, unlocked, s-off and rooted. Only thing I flashed is the HK sound zip...You think that could be causing the problem? It starts to flash the update, the stops, and goes red exclamation point and reboots after a minute or two. Thanks

One of the benefits to being s-off is you don't need to take the OTA anymore.
All you do is flash the firmware when it becomes available.
The H/K sound zip could be causing the problem as it's not stock for the non H/K devices.

error message.

I followed the steps in post 2. I verified that i'm rooted with s on, downloaded the 1.54.651.8 stock recovery from your link, changed the name to stockrecovery.img, copied it to my android folder that I used to root the phone, got the phone to fastboot. but when I type the command under the c:/android it gives me and error Cannot load 'stockrecovery.img' I am under the admin command and i did not put in the quotation marks. Any Ideas on why this is not working ?

I believe the issue is with command lines in cmd .... One moment while I turn pc on

---------- Post added at 10:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:34 PM ----------

Try Stockrecovery.img as opposed to stockrecovery.img.
And yes that definitely should solve his issue or he can type "fastboot flash recovery" enter 1 space with spacebar and drag the Stockrecovery.img into the cmd window

Sorry for the delay, was out of town. OK did just what was suggested , left a space and typed Stockrecovery. still got the same error message. How do you drag that line from the windows explore to the command box?
Also tried using firewater to get "s"off that didn't work either comes back with can't do it on your device>
I basically am running the stock 1.54.651.8 already, All i did was root the phone and add twrp, super su using the method described on page one & then added titanium back up to the phone. I did not delete any of the apps I just FROZE them. Not sure why I can't just run the OTA the way it is . but the phone reboots into the TWRP and when I tell it to reboot the system it takes me back to what I have now. Thanks for the input, got any other ideas?
