Thank You!

Try the SafeRoot method. My friend tried countless methods but that one is the only one that worked. Also, if Knox is the issue, you might need to flash knox remover first in CWM. And you can get CWM using Skunkape's method with ODIN if you don't have it already.

I did trip that stupid Knox stuff tho with a different try. But I am on TWRP Recovery! I suppose as long as I don't need to even cash in on a warranty this is not to be worried about from reading other posts, correct? :good:

I see you got it done, my guide is a lot better and would've done all this for you in 1 shot without going through so many different routes...hasn't failed for 1 person yet and you would've started off with the philz twrp recovery installation, then Knox removal and then supersu rooting all through the recovery.

and don't worry about warranty crap, I even have a guide to get right back to a fully installed stock 4.3 ota system if you mess it up or anything...but this guide is WAY outdated

My friend recommended me this thread to root my Galaxy S3.

My S3 is from Virgin Mobile and is model # SPH-L710. Reading the thread it obviously states that this is for the Sprint S3, I asked him about it and he said it's fine.

He's more technologically advanced when it comes to phones & rooting... But just to make sure I'm looking for confirmation, would this work for my version? Thanks.

Yes the L710 is the Sprint/Virgin/Boost version of the S3.

if you're on 4.3 though it's not gonna work, use my rooting guide, link is in my signature and DOES work for your phone model and was confirmed by others using your phone model on 4.3

If I'm rooted stock on 4.1.2 MD4, is there any easy way to get the stock 4.3 ROM on board now? Also, will it stop the annoying message every 10 minutes telling me that there is an upgrade available?

Thanks, gang!

you can unroot the phone, factory wipe it and update it then root it again, if you got supersu installed and running, go to its settings and there's an option to fully unroot...could also flash the update with odin if all else fails

Good catch on the custom recovery not being on the phone. Let me take care of that and yes it is on 4.3.
no problem dude, fyi this guide isn't gonna work for you cause it's outdated and not for 4.3...use my guide in my signature, thank me in my guide when done lol guarantee you'll root it 1St attempt with mine

Yeah just saw those; I'm on my tablet and for some reason it was showing me the post I replied to as the most recent, then when I replied all the other ones popped up! Browser issue apparently, it isn't refreshing correctly. Oh well, lol buddy!
hate when that happens...kinda why I made sure my wise cracking was light and fun lol
