TUTORIAL : The correct way to install the new KitKat International B510 ROM

Put update.zip in dload folder in sdcard.
Do NOT flash by pressing volume buttons and power button.

The working method is like this : SETTINGS / ABOUT PHONE / SYSTEM UPDATE / LOCAL UPDATE


IMPORTANT : You must be on B132 with stock recovery.

It's working just fine also via stock recovery !

* put update.zip on your external sdcard

* connect USB cable

* enable USB debugging ( Settings -> Developer options )

* check USB connection methods -> MTP

* put your device in recovery mode ( adb reboot recovery )

* applay update from external storage

* navigate to update.zip and press power button

* wipe cache partition

* reboot system now

* Enjoy !!!

( your device must be run Stock Huawei Firmware B132 - installed via /sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP or Beta B510 ) !

Tried from b507 to b510, didn't work (at least with local update).

E: tried also with b125 ---> b510, didn't work. Finally put b132 ---> b510 and worked.

Everything went allright untill I reboot... Got stuck at bootlogo, tryed to wipe cache / factory reset... and nothing... had to revert back to 4.2....

What could went wrong? I was on stock B132 no root with factory reset...

Yeah I used the normal upgrade method and all settings stuck.

Cant comment on using a recovery mode.

If you have B510 BETA, then YES
If you have B510 released by HUAWEI Romania, then NO. [You must be on B132]

I have a brand new P6 in B132 and followed the procédure.

But it failed to mount sdcard and stay in stock recovery. In stock recovery it will not mount sdcard either.

Meanwhile, I am able to read and move files in the sdcard while phone is running Android.

Have you a hint to help me ? Thanks by advance !

PS : I read all I can in the P6 forum and get ready to put Omnibox after B510 and TWRP ... but I am blocked on the most easy step.

It's easy to unlock your bootloader. Just search on XDA.
