I can also confirm that if you re-unlock your bootloader using flashtool, it won't wipe anything. And you can make a twrp backup of your stock kernel and TA partition, so you can relock it on the go ;)

Hi I tried to unlock my phone and I had the Sony code and every thing is done using flashtool .

My problem some ROMs don't work the only ROM worked for me is the evo9 ....

In the dailer I entered the code to see if I'm locked and it fails to open configuration nothing shows ??? Is something wrong???

With the latest release of Flashtool it is now possible to relock bootloader.

Download the latest flashtool from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746

Important

DO NOT USE ANY FTF TO RELOCK BOOTLOADER! THOSE OLD FTFs DO NOT WORK FOR THE 2013 DEVICES!!!

before u relock bootloader u have to be on pure stock kernel (flash only the kernel.sin using flashtool), else the device WILL NOT BOOT after relock

Steps:

  1. now start Flashtool and click on BLU button
  2. u will be asked to connect device in flashmode
  3. once u connect the device u will get a prompt to "Relock"
  4. click on it and when prompted disconnect the device

Want to UNLOCK again after relocking? read this!

is this method can also restore you DRM keys?

So, if i want to unlock again and use sony original method it will work right? :)
Yes.
The unlock code is still the same of the first time.

Besides, if you are switching so often between locked and unlocked status, I would suggest to backup even unlocked TA, so that you'll just need to flash it to unlock without /data wipe

Hello I got a C6906 and I have the bootloader locked.... and I am on Android 4.4.2...... How can I update to android 4.4.4? :good:
Install PC companion (PCC) or Sony update services (SUS) on your PC and simply update it.
Or find 4.4.4 latest .ftf and flash via flashtool.
Every thing you will find on XDA & Sony support site.

Hello! I read somewhere that if my phone's manufacture date is 11W29 or PAST 11W29 I should not attempt to unlock the bootloader because the phone will hard brick, is it true? My Xperia Z1 says "13W39" but the bootloader can be unlocked as I have checked multiple times, please help :(
