After flash stock firmware GB and ICS with flashtool, my LWW can't booting. After finihs flasing and i hold power button, LWW just vibrate. And then if i plug charger, just SONY ERICSSON logo's show up. And if i unplug charger, the SONY ERICSSON logo's go on. And my LWW become black screen. I use Viper 8 ROM with KRHS kernel unlock bootloader before flasing stock firmware. Here changelog flashtool....

I edited the post and deleted the one stating my problem . It was a rather dumb problem that stemmed from lack of sleep or just a low IQ i guess :(
This is a really great and complete thread. Thank you :)

XX. Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I just installed custom ROM, but phone is frozen at the logo!
A. Did you install custom kernel, which is confirmed to be working with that ROM? If you did everything correctly, it might take a while, because at first boot new caches are created.

Q. Flashtool won't install stock firmware, gives this-and-this error.
A. Make sure phone is in flashmode(turn off, hold down Volume DOWN, connect USB cable). If yes, make sure, that correct drivers are installed. If yes, post here with FULL log, and I will take a look.

Can't cope with this anymore!

My hands are shaking while I'm typing this, because I'm sick & tired of this bulls**t.

Ok, first things first...

My device:

Xperia E c1505 (ss)
Android 4.1.1
11.3.A.2.23 StockROM (branded)
Rooted
CWM Recovery
Bootloader unlocked
FastBoot enabled

Computer:
Windows XP SP3
with Android SDK & Eclipse IDE

Problem(s):
I messed around with the DSP Manager & Apollo; hoping that it would improve my sound volume & quality.
No luck, couldn't get it to work.
Anyway, now my sound is completely messed up,
and my battery always shows 100% since. That I don't trust at all.
So I've been trying for a week now to flash a backup ftf using Flashtool (0.9.16.0)
onto this stupid phone.
That doesn't want to work either.
I installed just about every driver that there is under the sun,
including the Flashtool driver package 1.5,
and still I cannot get back to my stockROM,
nor this "xperia e (c1505)_11.3.A.2.23_unbranded" that I found here in the forum.
I would also like to try out the CM10DS-0.8.1.36 despite the reported baseband bug.
But if I can't even flash a stockROM then what's gonna save me when I need it?

Flashtool log extract >>>

Checking header...
Processing of loader.sin finished with errors...
Ending flash session...
ERROR flashing aborted.

And when I then unplug the phone, the computer freezes up completely (a little by-product)
with the hardware wizard seemingly not knowing what to do with the phone,
and I have to reboot before I can do anything again.

Anybody got any ideas what's going on here,
because I'm sick of this s**t.

You may try with another PC with higher windows OS i.e win7/8, or you can upgrade your current OS to a higher version

Well, I couldn't wait for any of you guys,
because of the battery issue (this is a dangerous hardware bug :( )
and only came about after installing "xperia_e_single_jb_cwm.elf".
Anyway I sorted the flashing issue by shifting everything to my vaio that runs Windows 7 Ultimate.
It's XP Pro that has obviously problems with all this relatively new stuff.
The Flashtool works just fine in Windows 7.
I'm back on StockROM now :victory:
Another thing...
This "xperia_e_(c1505)_11.3.A.2.23_unbranded.ftf" (391MB), which I got from here is corrupted.
Flashtool will not entertain it (not even in Windows 7 :) )
Thx anyway.

It's XP Pro that has obviously problems with all this relatively new stuff.
The Flashtool works just fine on Windows 7.
I'm back on StockROM now :victory:
Another thing...
This "xperia_e_(c1505)_11.3.A.2.23_unbranded.ftf" (391MB), which I got from here is corrupted.
Flashtool will not entertain it (not even in Windows 7 :) )
Thx anyway.
That's just what I suggested to you on your earlier post, check your previous post buddy..

Apologies pal,
missed your response completely.
Been seeing red all day.
Just woke up, slept like a baby after finally getting back to stock.
Thing is, everything I do to my phone,
I pass on to my womans phone, which is another Xperia E C1505.
So herself ended up with the same battery bug after I installed CWM on her phone.
What about this TWRP?
Needless to say, I'm a bit wary of trying anything just now.
But listen, Thx for your response, much obliged. :)

Hi All,

this topic is my last sand...

I follow some other guide (I haven't yet found this) and I was able to root the phone, but after fastboot installation I have this issue:

1 - Phone continuosly ask me to choose language on each boot
2 - When I try to use flastool it ask me to reboot phone pressing "back" button, but I don't have back button. I have tried with all possible button combination, but anyone works
3 - I was able to power on phone in fastboot mode (pressing Vol - , Blue led turns on), but If I try to open CWM (I install it following one guide on this forum) I was able only to go into Safe Mode.

Please help me , I want to install Viper V8 on this phone and I'm becoming crazy!!!

Thanks

Phone Data:

Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband: 8X55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-72
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build:4.1.B.0.431

Edit: I try to did again all the process.
Doomlord script complete succesfully, but when I try to run CWM Install script I receive this message:

Press Allow on Super User Request
/system/bin/sh: su: not found
cleaning up . . .

Edit2: Sorry.. I found that I can't root it with 4.0.4 Android, I'm trying to downgrade to 4.0.2 using flashtool but I still have the problem that flashtool ask to press back button and connect usb cable. Back button is not present on Live With Walkman and flashtool doesn't work... Which is the right button?? (or there's a way to start flashtool without this combination?)

Edit3: Finally... IT WORKS!!!! I must mix some guide to acquire Root permission to install CWM, but now works :) (using eroot)

PS: You think that Viper V8 is a good solution to use LwW only as MP3 Player?

Just additional information: You have to press volume down instead of the back button for flashmode and volume up for fastboot mode ;)

Sony Xperia Active 4.0.2.A.0.84 <----anyway to root this :( pls help
Check out my rooting guide and use the steps for 4.0.2.A.0.62/69 (link in the stickies and in my signature) :)

I didi it, but I think that volume up button is faulty and give me some issue when I reboot device pressing Volume Down button.

Anyway, I was able to do all , but after I have installed Viper V8 , on reboot phone is stucked on SONY logo, I must check when I'll be at home how to unbrick it and try to install another ROM.

Do You have other ROM to suggest? As sad I need it to use LwW only as MP3 player to connect it on Car Hi-Fi with AUX cable.

Thanks

Luca

Finally....

after a lot of tentative I was able to unbrick SONY logo (I must install MESA 4.6 Kernel), Install Viper V8 and now phone is working.

Thanks to all for Your support, You're great!!!
