So, I've been trying to get something working now for a while to pack in with my rom which is a little setting I found leftover in the OUYALauncher.apk that allows you to change resolution settings.

The setting was "TV RESOLUTION" and would allow you to switch between 3 video modes:

-720p
-1080i
-1080p

I've been messing with this for a while now trying to get the options back in but so far I think this will require a bit more of a knowledgeable person to maybe get this working again.

If you are curious and want to look at it youll need to decompile the APK, from there you should be able to find the bits regarding resolution... as for adding it back in I've hit a few hicups which could be either me ( quite possible since I'm still new to this ) or that it's in an incomplete stage even though the code is there for it ( in otherwords the code is there but only partially there ).

I figure I'd post this and maybe get some potential people interested in trying to fix this up. :good:

Why would they even remove that? I'm guessing they had issues with it?? I believe you would have to add it in preferences and then assign it to another well there is a android tutorial here The first thing he covers is buttons. It may help you.
Is there an ouyaoobe in the android manifest? I've been wondering how they run tne store if a certain method or what ever has to be running to get the store to work? Honestly if there was a way to activate the store without having to run the ouya launcher then it would be ten times easier to port that into a different launcher built from source. Seriously the ouya launcher is three textviews. One leads you to all apps, one to the store and one to make.

here you go
Code:
adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n tv.ouya.console/.launcher.settings.ResolutionActivity
but that's what my mod does

Ah so your mod hooks into it as well?

Hmm... I see... and indeed push that pulls up the menu like it did on my side but does nothing on input.... just like what happened with me and my changes... =_=

I guess then that this feature doesnt work? or am I missing something else?
