For about a week now I've been using r2, but prior to that it was ael (wiped dalvik + cache of course). Even tried updating term just to see if that was the issue, but no luck [emoji14].

Worse case I'll try flashing another rom after work to see if it fixes it. Been meaning to give Omega, or Emotion Revolution a go.

Since you were on the AEL kernel, I would see what the issue is the script is causing the boot loop, I would suggest you to go to System/Etc/init.d Folder in this folder delete all scripts except the 99Daemon(Super SU file). and then flash the Kernel and you should fine.

Still no luck unfortunately, just tried flash r3 (dalvik + cache wiped) and no luck. But r2 flash back perfectly, I'll try flashing rom after work

It could also be a corrupted download try to re-download and flash it again. Please share a screens got of the init.d folder.

Yes, I'm using Synapse. There are another good apks to control the kernel but I prefer Synapse because I choose what can i change and what not.
Which settings? Governor tunables? Frandom?

After flashing an updated stock rom, and then omega, r3 works. . Strange thing is all I did was Odin stock image, then dirty flashed omega (wiped system, dalvik and cache). Just happy it worked.

No idea what was wrong, but I guess it is good to run an updated baseband anyway. Thanks again for the support and keep up the great work

this kernel is the snappiest I've used, will check battery still but looking good, not using any kernel app, using kernel as is and its excellent! many thanks

My battery life is much better today, gsam was showing that the radio was using a lot of battery. I checked my build.prop and there were settings in there from the last kernel I used where I had set some increased 3g speeds. so far today in a bright lit room, I have used 12% battery with 40min screen on time. This is 5.5hrs of screen on time with the screen fairly bright. If I was in a darker room or had the brightness down I''m sure I could hit 6 hours.

Thanks so much for this kernel, ideally I just wanted a stock kernel with selinux set to permissive, this was the closest option. I tried another kernel and I was crashing a lot and having to pull the battery.
