Of course it's ics kernel, should not be a problem...

But my recommendation is HydraCore v4.3b OC, good battery life, and it is very smooth, for me perfect combination

Is it possible to make the statusbar transparent?
Also is it possible to keep the blue icons in the statusbar but the rest of the rom stock ?

must have been said in this thread already, but i'll say it anyway

my phone got stuck on the Galaxy Note logo when i took it out from my pocket yesterday.

1. manual reboot - does not work (or did not solve it)
2. battery pulled out - - does not work (or did not solve it)
3. wiped caches - - does not work (or did not solve it)
4. reinstalled on top after wiping caches - does not work (or did not solve it)
5. factory reset and reinstalled via recovery - does not work (or did not solve it)


so i gave up. after maybe half an hour the curious wife simply pushed the volume up button (it was off im sure as i pulled the battery and put it back in without turning on the device), the galaxy note turned on! and the apps in the /preload were loaded. contacts were not deleted (should have been if it performed a factory reset, right?)

what just happened here, can somebody explain?

This happened to me twice in the last 3weeks, i exactly did what you've done without success. I never tried the volume up though. Reflashing the rom revived it. Last time this happened was yesterday morning. Went to sleep with around 80% battery, phone was dead by the morning. Charged it up to about 50% before I tried booting,and got stucked on Samsung GNote logo. Had decided to flash another rom, was loving the 240dpi, will flash again as soon as the dev. comes up with a stable version.

Nah, im stuck, each time i try to reflash the rom or to install new rom it reboots to the all ready installed to this ics final rom, also i cant perform the nand backup because the phone reboots on half way of the backup process. Any idea? Ty.

Good Question... I think that it works because this kernel is for all roms. Try it out, if it doesnt work, flash an ICS Kernel again.

I just instaled this rom coming from 4.2.1 Alysum ... Copyed the rom to internal SD card, reboot to recovery ..wipe factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik, go to advanced format preload, Then in advanced mound \DATA - install rom ..rebooted and perfect... withows FC.....

Before all this I made a nandroid backup just in case.

The AllianceOTA app seems to be broken, the files are downloading but the installation fail once in the recovery. Any way to get the zip/download it separetely ?

Via RomCustomizer which came preinstalled in your rom, you can find it in app drawer or system.... >old allinace ota> updates

Do you try update rom customizer via google play.
Files are downloaded in internal sd > Alliance > tmp > temp.zip is the last downloaded file from OTA. You can rename it and save somwhere else

I'm trying 240dpi as well but there is nothing in "Updates"?
