Sorry. 5.0.1 lollipop. Did the wipe and all that too.Lolipop or kk?
I will be your P tester. I can fix any problem on my phone should it arise and I can provide viable feedback and logcats. I've done this for many men with better skills than I so that I can learn. It all started on the Evo 4G for me and I never looked back. Yeah, let me know if I can be of service to you with this Kernel testing.Yeap we could not find any P tester. Better delete it from the list until you get solid feedback.

Yes I do know a little. I've been around here for about three years now, and I am familiar with many aspects. I build a few custom ROM's for the Evo 4G. They are posted at http://android.aokforums.com/index.phpOur device isn't supported I know a little about developing but not much, do you? If dev doesn't mind maybe we can mess with it bc I'm probably gonna just launch the device out my window at this point I got v4a to work though bud without selinux being set to permissive there's a zip on the main v4a thread go a few pages back i don't know how to post a file on here otherwise I'd just post it if u need me to pm u the file you do need init.d support (just use tx_dbs deodexed rom)
How the other developer for this kernel, thank you!. Comments like yours encourages us to continue with this projectI have been testing the kernel on my 915F for sometime now.
I did some side by side testing with Nexus 6.
First my phone was on stock rom with root, and with stock kernel. Nexus was in the same situation too..
The test results showed that, in the benchmark apps there is a difference like 10%..
And the normal daily usage test was also faster.. if you touch on an icon at Nexus 6, it just starts the application. But my Note Edge was a little bit slow, it was thinking that if it should really start it or not..
(by the way, for testing purposes they were fresh flashed)
Next test:
I have flashed a custom rom + kernel on Nexus 6.
And I have flashed Emotion kernel on note edge, and removed samsung apps and unnecessary services..
I started benchmark test again, and Nexus was still faster than my Note Edge..
Next test:
I have changed the governor to Performance, CRC off, KSM enable, GPU governor to performance...
and finally Note Edge beat Nexus 6 with like 1%...
And daily usage results was really better than stock settings and kernel.
My Findings:
1) My phone restarted 2 times, but it couldn't boot, what I saw in the morning was the Samsung logo (boot logo). but the logging was disabled so I cannot supply any logs at the moment, I have started it again.
a. I am using HTC's PowerToGive application on my device.. (why not? I don't use my phone when I sleep, so it can do some calculation stuff for universities..)
b. I have changed the global voltage settings to -25mv, maybe this was the reason for restarts as power2Give pushes CPU to 100% for a long time like all night
c. I have changed thermal control from stock to intelli.. this may be the reason as well, but I have converted it to stock again.
d. Last night was successful, my phone was donated for calculations and didn't restart or crash.
2) If you use performance governors for CPU + GPU, it gets really hot.. I mean really... you can't even touch the speaker area... I think this is pretty normal, if you are playing a resource hungry game.. (in my case it is mortal kombat x)
3) Wakelocks are really improved; before this kernel, I had wakelocks about sensors and wifi and mobile network... currently 10 hours uptime, 7 hours deep sleep, 3 hours awake, 2 hours screen ontime... I think this is pretty good. I still have wakelocks but you can't even compare with the stock kernel.
@Pafcholini please continue great work. I was really upset about the developer support for Note Edge. finally we have a real developer in play. You are not even asking for a donation which I would do, because I appreciate your work and I want the development to continue on it... I had the same issues with S4, i9505 was a developer love but i9500 was the child everybody hates.. I don't want this to happen again
Thanks to everyone who has participated in development and testing phases..
I as well would be more than happy to test (I know a thing or two but cannot build) as I said everything worked except data I think it had to do with my apn list but than again in my settings about phone both the software version and baseband version were unknown possibly build.prop changesI will be your P tester. Trusted me on this, I did same thing you choose the wrong kernel, check for right folder " SM-N915-F-G-P-T-V"I tried flashing the 915T on my stock deodexed Tmo Edge and it booted but with a black screen. Waited a few and could hear the unlocking sound when I swiped the screen but couldn't see squat. Weird.
Wifi calling doesn't work in the r15.When i enable my wifi tethering app, my phone freezes and goes black.. i have to pull the battery to get it back on.. reflashed stock and it works fine.. otherwise awesome work.. on the N915T..
That is correct, I just tried it thanks....Wifi calling doesn't work in the r15.

1. Shealth is working, just delete data of your ShealthOk so I've flashed and must say, working smooth on my 915T... just have a couple question's/inquires
1. Is there a fix to get SHealth working on custom kernels that anyone knows of?
2. So WiFi calling does NOT work with this kernel...? (915T)
Thank you Dev for your work and contribution to our devices.

SHealth is working as in, it is accessible... however it's not responsive (as far as the pedometer to track steps).. while running this kernel it is indicating that I have taken no steps today... although I've been walking all morning.. anyone else with this issue... i I have in fact cleared data/cache yet still same outcome...1. Shealth is working, just delete data of your Shealth
2. No, wifi calling doesn't work.

Perhaps it not compatible with ur device? Or rom?Just tried that kernel. No dice. It didn't even boot the phone up. When I flashed the kernel in TWRP, it didn't even get through the flash before it jacked the phone up. No worries, I'll try again later after a few updates. Thanks for the help though.![]()
YesI have to ask, will this work on the 915FY version
