kind of a random question, but when I go to options to change the battery appearance, I have an option for "percentage, icon, and hidden". i thought there used to be a setting for an icon and percentage?

Percentage shows a number and a small bar, you might be able to see it in the screenshots I posted a minute ago (one page back)

Notification Issue

Hi everyone,

I am facing an issue with the notification tray on my phone after i flashed the latest release. I tried to find an answer to this and couldn't find a solution.

When swiping to clear individual notifications, the notification trays hangs itself and stops functioning. To get it working again, i have to restart the phone.

Is there a solution out there for this? Do let me know if you need any additional info on this.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Nagaraj VL

Just curious if any one has their market lock up their device with the latest nightlies. I know this has been an issue in the past and was wondering if it's still an issue or not.

Market still locks up....I find that I'm okay browsing as long as I don't browse when downloading apps I'm okay. If I browse while downloading something from the market it almost always locks up and requires a reboot.

These settings work for me.
Made them myself through lots of testing. Everything seemed dim to me so these settings require less light to make the screen brighter, and there are many levels to compensate light in different settings. I'm also using a pretty dark theme, so I can attest to this working well with darker themes.

I have light sensor filter enabled
Window lenght 2s
Reset threshold 400 lux
Sample interval 1s (which I think is default)
Use custom enabled
Screen dim level 20 (default)
Edit other levels (see pictures)
Allow light decrease enabled
Decrease hysteria 50% (default I think)

Main stuff that matters is the filter settings, 2 second window means it only takes 2 seconds for your phone to react to a change in light, reset threshold 400 lux means if something flashes quickly in front of your phone it wont throw off light adjustment.

Settings
Cyanogenmod settings
Display
Automatic backlight (this is where the settings I typed are)
Edit other levels (this is the pictures)

You will need to set the correct number of levels first.

Note I'm still experimenting, these settings still seem a bit too dim for my preference
I found most of the info I used to base my settings from a post on rootzwiki about the Droid x2
I might post a thread just to explain my findings (maybe in general, since its not really dev, just personal preference and experience)

Hi,

I've had problems too - updating CM7 whilst running siyah. It's always fine without siyah installed.

The very handy cm7 stock kernel reverter that RockRatt just posted can be use to work around this by making your overall update procedure as follows:

1) revert to CM7 stock kernel (using RockRatt zip)
2) update CM7
3) reinstall siyah
Thanks Sam and RockRatt! Using RockRatts CM7 reverting script and in the order Sam described it works perfectly! No more issues here.

What exactly does that mean lol

It means open up root explorer and go to /mnt/emmc. Or to further explain it click on mount, then click on emmc and you will find all your external sdcard stuff in there. Cm7 doesn't use the name external sdcard or ext-sdcard or whatever Samsung based rooms call it.

For anyone running this ROM and Siyah kernel, what I/O Scheduler and governor are you running? Just trying to get a general idea
