Two different battery readings

So I just flashed the sonic freegs3 5 rom with zav kernel and also flashed jelly bomb domination theme 10.

The battery icon in the status bar shows a different number than in settings.

Does the battery k the status bar go down by 1% increments? Maybe that battery mod goes by 5%

i believe i just saw it go from 90 to 85 in the status bar. weird.

either way, the battery percentage should match up on both at the given intervals .. 100 95 90 85 80 etc. and they dont.
