Two kinds of bootloader?

Hi, i was looking for a new angeeks rom, and i saw this:

And trying to understand something, i read this:

I have to ask, useful for what? some background on what the thread is for might help.

Yes ALL the Atrix2 phones, ME and MB and AT&T, all have had 3 different bootloaders, the one before ICS, (note they mention BL1 and 2.3.5/6, then BL2 which is also 2.3.6), the one in ICS is more locked down than the ones in GB, so I am guessing that is why that one is not even mentioned.

They may also mention the BL version, since they are talking about your base install, which can mean that whatever they are doing may only work on or or the other version. Also if this is for the ME atrix2, which is what I think this was meant for, then this might be a hack to that BL, which is similar to the AT&T one, and VERY different from the SEARET and MEARET phones, which seem to be a little less locked down than the ME and the AT&T phones are, since you can flash almost any firmware on an MEARET/SEARET phone with out bricking.

P.S. What is posted on that page is a rom based off the JB 4.1.2 ROM, and it appears the instructions have not been updated since the OG ICS days. There was a BL update for the ME phones from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 and I 100% sure that is what they are talking about, with the BL stuff in this post.

There are some things going on with kexec as well on the 591fan site too, but this has nothing to do with that.
