Ok w8 I'll fix a twrp that will make the installation of su system less mode possible but u will be forced to remove su.img from /data/ else it won't boot

fastboot flash this: http://www21.zippyshare.com/v/7YNPp3AI/file.html

Before You Flash SuperSU-Systemmode you need to mount system & /vendor first since the Sepolicy is located in the "Vendor" Partition for reasons i won't bother to explain.

Once Flashed Mount Data again (if it gets unmounted, mount system) and navigate to /data and remove su.img

This will make N booting

So after we flash the new recovery;

1. Mount system and vendor in TWRP

2. Flash the properdatafix.zip

3. Resize the data partition

4. Next mount data or system and navigate to /data and delete su.img

Sorry for all the questions and taking up your time. Please understand we really appreciate you taking the time to help with this. You are a top dev!

After resize flash supersu system less zip it'll patch your boot image. But it will make your device not booting if you don't remove the su.img still you can modify add or delete files in system folder which is rather funny.

After installing SuperSU in the data, not all the files are displayed and there was no su.img
Loading in system, bootloop ...
Once in TWRP, mount system and data, all of the files on the site, removed su.img

Begin to adjust the phone ...

Correct since su.img will mount the needed path /su it will make root not working. Tried to use some rc files to help get it working without luck from phone.

So I have managed to follow the instructions and have N booting now with TWRP. However when I try to flash zips they fail because they are unable to mount /system. Is it because we have removed the su.img from /data?

I have made sure system is mounted in TWRP.

You removed apps from the system?
The size of your archive 103 MB, i think the system is not enough space that would install these apps.
I didn't make the zip I found it on XDA. But it seems to remove the system apps like dialer but fails to install the replacement apps. I will try a smaller zip in a little bit and report back.

Try, after being loaded into TWRP, mount /system and /data, and then install the archive.

Yes he needs to resize it.

Yeah check your device system space. Can be too small.

Hmm afaik it can be the reason just boot into system and put zip on your storage and reboot recovery and flash

The data is not formated. It'll stick
Try, after being loaded into TWRP, mount /system and /data, and then install the archive.
To me helped ...
