Thank you very much, that actually worked. I pressed the volume up and down keys while rebooting but apparently I didn't press the volume down button enough.
I feel a little stupid, but at least, thanks to you, Now I know how to do it!

Hi, i tried updating the twrp from 2.8 to 3.0, but after flashing it with recovery i suddenly cant boot up my phone. It vibrates but nothing happens after that, the screen stays off. My computer also doesnt respond to connected phone anymore. I was bootloader unlocked on sony xperia z1 compact Dstrikers rom. Thanks for any help and sorry if this isnt the right thread.

Edit: Sorry for the confusion. 3.0.2-1 is the version for marshmallow (and maybe lollipop?). The custom version by derf elot for my test was 3.0.2-1-cm11.

Derf elot mentioned it probably needs customized files to work with the various androidversions.

Why don't you just try the 3.0.2-1 version without installing it but only by booting into it with fastboot?

If you've already updated your bootloader to the version with real recovery then it's just fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ...

Hmm okay. I dont know if i have a real bootloader. I just flashed this image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ock-14-6-1-236-customized-lollipop-5-t3264557
before i was on CM12.1. ... Can i flash a real bootloader without loosing data?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img wont change a thing - thats what i tried in first place ...

You can only get it through Sony's flash tool. I don't think it's possible without data loss.

Maybe start the recovery through fastboot boot recovery.img. Do a backup of the encrypted partition and copy it to your pc. Then flash the latest stock ROM with the Sony tool (you get the new boot loader). Then flash the real recovery with fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and restore the backup. But no guarantee that that would work...

Ok, thank you. Now I have strange behaviour. I can't get in recovery via normal volume up our down. I have to press power and volume down, after that is a short vibration , the phone turns on and bit into recovery.
Even if I choose the option in several apps to boot into recovery it don't works.
Strange
