I think I've found a simple solution for those pescy random reboots.

In your terminal emulator (or via init.d, anything goes), run

/sbin/su -c /system/bin/swapoff /dev/block/zram0

You have to do this after every reboot, but at least they should be voluntary ones from then on.

I didn't notice any performance issues after deactivating swap. Tell me how it works for you :)

Good Morning,
I will start the whole process, and I would like to know ...
Does the latest version of Magisk (v20.1) and Magisk Manager (v7.4.0) work well on this smartphone?

Regards

Good afternoon,
Has anyone tested if this TWRP and Root installation method still works with the new Android 10 firmware (KANE_PSA29.160-55-7)?

PSA29.160-55-7 isn't Android 10. Still Pie November patch.

I believe this is the changelog:
This update introduces changes including the following:
Performance improvements: Includes changes that fix bugs to improve the stability, connectivity and touchscreen performance of your phone.

Anyone Can Help Me Please?
I tried too just now to see if It worked for me, but you're right. It's not working. No idea why.

Good morning
I'm going to start the rooting process and I have some questions:

1.- When you say: "-.bat executive file and vbmeta.img to the folder with the firmware files". You mean copy "KANE_Primary_Flash.bat", "vbmeta.img" and the decompressed firmware, the version that the smartphone has installed, in the adb folder?.

2.- When you say: "Load ... , then start an executive file .bat ... ". You mean start: "KANE_Primary_Flash.bat"?.

In short, what is "executive file .bat?, what is" the folder with the firmware files "?

Regards

Guys, have anyone solved the image validation error?
I have a XT1970-1, build number PSA29.160-55-7.
I'm able to flash the vbmeta but when I try to boot with the TWRT the log shows this error : 'image validation error'.
Bootloader unlocked and also with the USB debugging turned on.

Android 10, Magisk and Edxposed, has anyone got them working together? I've had issues with my device not booting, and after removing and reinstalling Magisk, I believe it's been EdXposed...

EDIT:
To anyone who'd like to try EdXposed. Download the 4.6.0 beta from here https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed/releases
The version in the Magisk repos is outdated and doesn't support Android 10.
I got the device to boot, but haven't tested much the modules.

Good morning,
I am very interested in installing Xposed and some module, but I have been told in another thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=4035433 that with Android 9, it does not work well.

Can you tell me which versions of Android, Magisk and EdXposed are installed?
Does everything work fine?

Regards

Is it possible to flash android 10 firmware from the twrp and then flash lazyflasher to keep twrp as the default recovery. Sorry for bad English
There are instructions for flashing twrp as the default recovery already in this thread. Why'd you want to use some other tool?

Android 10 (QSA30.62-64), Magisk 20.3, EdXposed v4.6.1 (4497) SandHook.

This EdXposed version is from the Canary repo. The Alpha version didn't work (it looks like newest Magisk had some changes...?). I think Yahfa hook should work too, but I didn't test it.

So far I've only been using the GravityBox beta for Q and it works overall, aside from some small bugs.

Just to ask if the following can be done: if the twrp is installed can i do flash android firmware 10? The next step is to do flash Magisk and then flash lazyflasher. I think this is simpler. This does not require a PC. Sorry for the bad English

I flashed Android 10 using the script with fastboot commands, but I had to edit the script first to the new filenames from the ROM.
I have no idea what lazyflasher is and whether it works with this TWRP version and root hack...
