Thanks for releasing the new twrp 3.6.0 and the thread to how to do a twrp backup + restore! I definitely wouldn't have figured it out for sure. I want to ask... How stable is the new 3.6.0 version of twrp? It's only beta 1, so I want to make sure the basic functions like flashing and backups work before installing it

I'm not up to date: what's this a and b slot stuff? What if I install twrp on just one slot? And whats for the rom? Do I have to install in 2 slots too? I'm a little confused.....

All I can say is read.
Use the installer osm0sis posted (I believe page 18 or 17)
Flash with fastboot then use the zip. Is the zip again after you flash a ROM just incsse the ROM flashes a different recovery

Already done. Now I have twrp installed and I know how to remove it, but my questions are the same. I haven't understand what are these 2 slots, and how do they works.

Google A/B slot phones. Lots of good reads about it.

Here in a bit, when aicp releases its new weekly, I'll try crdroid 11, Jaguar, and a few a12 ROMs and see if they flash(I think they do since the base is still OOS 11). Others have reported they can flash a12 ROMs also

Thanks bro. I'm wondering if you have tried flashing Evolution X A12..do you modify the rom zip when you flash or you flash the build as is?

Haven't looked but the ROM devs must make the ROM flashable. If they have it set up as a fastboot ROM, or only using payload/ROM installer, twrp may not flash it

I can confirm that the latest twrp recovery and installer works I just went from aicp to crdroid to havoc to jag and Evo A12 and back to aicp

Use the one from osm0sis. Its the most updated. From now on, when infected updates twrp, it will include all changes

No and yes flash oos flash installer zip reboot recovery flash oos flash installer zip now your stock with twrp and oos on both slots ready to come back to custom again and when you do come back to custom again reboot to recovery format data flash Rom zip flash installer zip reboot recovery flash Rom zip flash installer zip reboot recovery flash Gapps magisk reboot system

Can we perform a backup of oos stock, flashed a custom rom without perform a full media backup? (and without losing media).
Does restore a backup to oos works?

I don't understand why people need the backup function that badly. The only time your internal storage is fully wiped with twrp, is if you're going from OOS to custom or custom to OOS. Other than that, you can dirty flash custom ROMs(keeps installed apps and rom settings)or clean flash(factory reset) both of which keeps all your media like music, videos, downloads, etc.
