I can confirm that it does work on oneplus 8. I'm currently using it and, running the Jaguar rom, and rooted right now on my phone. I posted in the Jaguar thread on how to get twrp, Magisk, rom going in that thread. Using rom recoveries is an option, not the only option though.
Could you be more specific as to the error and/or message about 'inactive slots' [preferably a screenshot]?
Well I am on android 12 soo no need to fuss.it just sucks remembering the old days where we could flash roms and everything through custom recovery without even loosing data.it gives me a headache now to make data backup first then install any rom.
Possibly because the creator has a 8 and, not the pro. Works excellent on the 8 that I have using twrp recovery. This has been the rom I have been using since I tried Android 12 when first released for a week and, realized that it sucked (in my opinion only)
@infected_ Is it safe to say that I can just replace the recovery.img file within the Magisk flashable zip with the latest
twrp-3.6.2_11-0-instantnoodle.imgand flash away?
There are 2 methods; the second method requires you to wipe all the data on your device, but will surely fix this issue. On the other hand, the first method doesn’t require a data wipe but the success rate isn’t as good as the second method.
vendor.imgand flash via fastboot.
fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img or fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img fastboot reboot
