Thanks. Restored with MSM tool to OOS11. Will start all over.
I'm in the middle of a TWRP restore process, from a .ab file on my commputer. Data restored successfully, then boot, DTBO, ,EFS, but it's stuck on efs2. How do I safely abort and/or how long do I wait? The .ab file was 26GB and it's been like an hour and a half.

What I had previously done was
-restore to OOS10 using MSM tool (auto matically onto Slot A)
-OTA update onto slot B to OOS 11
-Installed TWRP on both slots via fastboot
-Started restore from. ab file that was LineageforMicroG 18.1 (A11) and then see above.

Do I unplug? Do I try to press something on the TWRP screen? Was it because the .ab file was LOS and not OOS? What will happen?

If you mean that you can root by flashing Magisk in this recovery then sure, why not? Although I don't know if OOS 12 or 13 can still be rooted this easily, someone else will have to reply to that 🤷‍♀️
When installing twrp and turning on the phone and entering the recovery again, it is not available?

My OP8 keeps trying to reboot to recovery mode, but gets stuck on the screen saying bootloader is unlocked. How do I reboot it to system, so I can get back into ADB debugging?

I tried
fastboot flash recovery_a twrp_op8_ext4-b3.img
and then
fastboot flash recovery_b twrp_op8_ext4-b3.img.
Both showed successful, but the phone now gets stuck on the bootloader unlocked screen. I can press Volume Up + Power to turn it off. It started to system again twice, but now only keeps trying to start to recovery -- which apparently didn't install properly. Please help!
I followed OP instructions and ended to the same situation. There should be more (updated?) instructions. @deepongi
I have a OP8P (IN2025) and I was on OOS 13 F.62.
I now have to use this MSM tool to be able to start from scratch.

It seems that we have to BOOT to TWRP instead of FLASHING it.
I'm looking for the proper way to install TWRP now. Can we still flash the flashable zip from Magisk Manager?
EDIT: there's a magiskboot file into the flashable zip and it's written #MAGISK into the updater-script file so I guess it should work with Magisk...

By the way, why there are 2 versions in this thread (ext4 / erofs) while there's only one version in the TWRP official website?

EDIT: All good with :
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot twrp_op8_erofs-3.7.0-b3.img
(I'm on OOS13 F62 - OP8P IN2025)
Flash Magisk v25.2.zip

The zip is flashable through Magisk.
I'm with an OP8 Pro (IN2020) running OOS 13.0 IN2023_11_F.62, flashed TWRP (EROFS) as a Magisk module and everything is working fine.

The current image(boot/recovery) has been destroyed and can not be boot.
Please flash the correct image or contact sutomer service to fix it ! :eek:

I promise that I read it all !--> MSM did save me.
Now what's the right command line to install twrp first, from pc, after the bootload is unlocked for 8 pro ? please ?

    TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers, and zulip-chat.

    A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom "ROM".

    Team Win strives to provide a quality product. However, it is your decision to install our software on your device. Team Win takes no responsibility for any damage that may occur from installing or using TWRP.

    Code:
    #include

    /*
    *
    * Yea, though I walk through the valleys of c++ and java, of the shadow of death on these forums,
    * I will fear no evil and i will develop and code restless: for thou art with me and my keyboard;
    * thy rod and thy staff they comfort me, and my mouse..
    *
    */

    A13 support is still a WIP, but most things are working, A13 is all new, keep that in mind.

    WORKING:
    Decryption
    ADB Sideload
    Format Data
    Flashing zips (kernels and ROM's)
    Backup/Restore
    MTP is working
    adb is working
    OTG
    more...
