Just decided to get rid of Xiaomi's suspecious system, registered & requested to Unlock Bootloader but it will take 7 days to activate, WTF!

Does this TWRP recovery require Unlocked bootloader to install? Or just flash the TWRP image under OEM Fastboot?
To unlock the bootloader in ANY Xiaomi device there was always needed the 7 days period.
There is no way to bypass that.

To install TWRP you need a unlocked bootloader

Thanks, this is my 1st Xiaomi phone (I didn't know it requires an active SIM & 7 days waiting for activation) and will be my last Xiaomi device, recently bought 2 Xiaomi routers flashed to Openwrt, too many Xiaomi tricks.

Greetings, I have a LITTLE X4 PRO 5G, VEUX version, the rom I have is XiaomiEu 13.04. I don't mind being root, but I'm interested in twrp because of the issue of making full system backups. In my case, do I just have to flash the img file called "TWRP12_mod" with the fatsboot utilities? Or do I have to do something else for the issues and problems that you mention in the post? Thank you very much in advance

I answer myself, I have flashed the file, and that's right...it works, I haven't tried anything other than making a backup, and fine...thanks

Yes it does requires an unlocked bootloader and yes it does not bode well that it takes 7 days to unlock a simple bootloader.

After using the fastboot flash boot command it flashes it successfully, but then when I input adb reboot recovery it says no devices/emulators found :|

Phone is entirely unlocked, USB debugging is on and everything.

Well, that's right, what does adb have to do with it, if your smartphone is in fastboot mode. The command must be
fastboot reboot recovery
or reboot it with the buttons

Ah ok, got the command wrong. But fastboot reboot recovery doesn't seem to be right one either. It returns the message fastboot: usage: unknown reboot target recovery. Do I need to switch partitions or something? (TWRP got flashed to boot_a)

So you're doing something wrong, I sometimes rewired the recovery several times a day and everything always reboots perfectly. But if you don't want it, then as I wrote above, reload it with the buttons. And about the slot, it already depends on which slot you have a working system in now.

That worked, thanks. I don't remember ever owning a phone that has button combos for rebooting to recovery.

All smartphones have a standard combination of buttons:
you clamp the power and volume plus, hold it until the bootlogo, then you release the power and hold the volume until you enter the recovery. And if, instead of a plus, you hold down a minus, then with such actions you will get into fastboot mode

Your adb is outdated, google "platform tools" and download the latest package for your respective OS from developer.android

Smart of you to notice. I am using the minimal portable adb. I checked what version I have, 1.4.3, which is the latest and apparently it was released back in 2018, so yeah.. old. Thanks for pointing it out.

The bootloader is a advanced feature that most of users don't need to unlock. If that is a decision maker in order to buy a device.... i think you doing it wrong. But that is on you :)
You got my point wrong. There is nothing wrong with unlock the bootloader, but the permission & privacy concern needed to UNLOCK the phone. I've used & rooted many different brands of Android phone since 2011. Only this Xiaomi (for me) requires an account binded with an active SIM & 7 days wait to unlock bootloader. I think you probably know it is considered illegal to use VPN or bypass CCP's firewall by any other means in China? Why does Xiaomi need users to bind an active SIM to an Mi account and waiting for 7 days to simply unlock a bootloader? It's just simply wrong by enforce this and its probably written under EUA that most of users didn't aware of.

Lol wow if it's really that much of an issue buy a disposable SIM card, unlock it, format your phone, replace the simcard and install a privacy based AOSP ROM. If privacy was really a concern to you, buying an Xiaomi phone was not a good start 😂

The REASON this was implemented is because Xiaomi kept having issues with external vendors buying their phones and installing bloatware and even malware infected ROMs onto the phone or even installing global roms and selling them off as "new" or as "global" devices even though global phones often have different specs and device names (as anyone familiar with Xiaomi will have encountered.) Believe it or not this is a good thing because it stops people modifying phones who shouldn't, as it means it's too much effort for vendors to modify the firmware before sale.

They recently started doing Hybrid releases so you can install a ZIP in recovery or extract it and flash it via fastboot. If I flash the xiaomi.eu ROM in the recovery would I need to turn on the auto reflash option on?
Well, I haven't seen such firmware for our smartphone yet.
When custom firmware was installed, I used the item "installing recovery in ramdisk" or simply reinstalled recovery after firmware, everything works fine.
When such a firmware appears for our smart, we will see

Hello everyone, one user under the nickname yurxxl from the site 4 PDA, at my request, will assemble a recovery for us, it was his assembly that I posted in the topic.
He finally managed to defeat the decryption of the data section. Now the recovery normally decrypts this section.
I allowed myself to add a little bit from myself:now recovery can also flash/backup/and restore logical partitions, as well as vendor_boot

    Download:
    GOOGLE DRIVE
    Installation method:
put in fastboot mode with the command
fastboot flash boot (the name of the recovery).img

Or in recovery, who has the old version installed, flash it to the "boot" section

Recovery for firmware on 12 android and customs based on them

Yes, the recovery is quite working, I flashed the stock firmware, and custom, and separately super.img. The backup does fine, but I have the firmware now xiaomi.eu 13.0.4, and I have a problem with recovery on it, although I found a solution
By the way, the work on the recovery is still ongoing

I have a problem. TWRP boots fine but touch screen doesn't work.
Using adb shell, I can decrypt the filesystem (twrp decrypt my_pin), install some add-on (twrp install ....), etc. What should I do to make touch screen to work properly?
I have Redmi Note 11 pro 5G (VEUX) with MIUI 13.0.2 (SKCEUXM)
If you flash stock vendor_boot.img, TWRP will be ok again.

Is this official? And what method can I use to load it on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G?
This is of course an unofficial recovery. This recovery is suitable for Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Poco X4 Pro 5G,both of them have the codename VEUX,and PEUX,is the codename of the Indian version, which is called Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G .Why the Chinese made such a mess is unclear. I corrected the name of the topic. The installation method was written in the post

So, you say we need to use the "fastboot flash boot" command instead of "fastboot flash recovery"? I feel a little insecure about that. But then how will the system boot? Never seen this before on my older devices.
In the latest versions of android, recovery is in boot, so now it is installed this way.
