sha256sum looks good:

[email protected]:~/Downloads$ sha256sum twrp-3.5.0-0-test4-flame.img
853d28e385be9f10ab1eeac2411daa04ac8b2d4b29483a0e92ed4fa1925d6246 twrp-3.5.0-0-test4-flame.img

I just tried updating my fastboot and adb. Went from 30.0.5-6877874 to 31.0.3-7562133. That didn't help. Still get the same problem.

While I was in fastboot mode, I took note of some of the details on that screen, in case this reveals any useful information:

Product revision: flame MP1.0(NA)
Bootloader version: c2f2-0.2-5799621
Secure boot: PRODUCTION
NOS production: yes
Device state: unlocked

My Pixel 4 is stuck in a bootloop after starting twrp-3.5.0-0-test4-flame.img
After I once wrecked my phone running lineage-18.1 in slot b, I did this test:

- Installed stock ROM flame-rq3a.211001.001 (latest A11) to both slots
- Rebooted to bootloader
- fastboot flash boot --slot=all lineage-18.1-20211121-recovery-flame.img
- Rebooted to lineage recovery (active slot b)
- adb sideload lineage-18.1-20211121-nightly-flame-signed.zip (to slot a)
- Rebooted to lineage recovery (active slot a)
- adb sideload open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20211124.zip (to slot a)
- Factory reset / format data
- Boot lineage until "welcome".

- Rebooted to bootloader
- fastboot boot twrp-3.5.0-0-test4-flame.img
TWRP starts. In TWRP, I did nothing but "Boot to system".

No system boots after that.
Slot a -> endless lineage boot animation
Slot b -> stuck with the google logo at the very beginning

Hi, I put a newer version in the OP that boots properly. TWRP 3.6 official is imminent release for all devices soon.

Thanks a lot! Now the phone starts again after using TWRP.

Unfortunately I can't restore the backup I made just before my phone crashed:
extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255

It looks like you wiped your FBE keys with a full wipe, so you cannot restore your backup unfortunately.

Don't know... This is my daily driver, so I already began reinstalling everything by hand now. I was able to extract some settings from the nandroid backup using titanium backup pro -- far away from a complete restore, but obviously the user date isn't completely encrypted also. Anyways, I'll have to stop testing for now...

    [RECOVERY] TWRP 3.5.0-0 - TeamWin Recovery Project

    Introduction:

    Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

    Key Features:

    Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
    XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
    Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
    Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
    Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
    Onscreen keyboard
    Easy selection of internal/external storage

    In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.

    We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

    Gerrit Instance - http://gerrit.twrp.me

    If you have made your own TWRP build for an unsupported device, please let us know. We might add your build to the list of unofficial builds. Bear in mind that we are working hard to add more devices and we may add your device to our official build list later.

    A11 Testing:
    - updated for lineage-18.1 booting

    Old info:

    Hello, this is a test build for flame users (will work on coral crosshatch/blueline later). The image is pretty safe for backing up now.
    So far I have decryption working, touch, adb and backup and restore seems to work. Super partition volumes can be mounted, and the super partition can be backed up.

    Not working: sideload and fastbootd

    May FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.3.1-0-test1-flame.img

    July FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.4.0-0-test4-flame.img
    - fix super partition restore
    - fix persist partition restore
    July FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.4.0-0-test5-flame.img
    - allow repacking of TWRP boot.img
    - magisk currently doesn't work

    August FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.4.0-0-test7-flame.img
    - fix repacking TWRP with magisk
    August FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.4.0-0-test8-flame.img
    - multiuser decryption support
    - fastbootd support

    3.5.0-0: Android 11 bringup

    - Titan M Wipe working on Format Data
    - Apex fixes for flattened directories

    - Credit to @Freak07 https://github.com/freak07/FLORAL - using his kernel as a Coral/Flame TWRP base

    What to backup
    * super
    * data
    * persist
    * boot
    * any other partition desired

    What to restore
    * super
    * data
    * boot - depending on ROM support

    Please just restore persist if you have a failed partition. I do not recommend restoring backups from phone to phone unless you know what you are doing.

    Repacking TWRP into Boot partition
    To repack TWRP into the boot partition to override stock recovery when rebooting to recovery, perform the following steps
    1. adb push <latest_boot.img> /sdcard/
    2. reboot to bootloader and fastboot latest boot.img of TWRP
    3. Go to Install
    4. Touch Install Image
    5. Select your boot.img from /sdcard
    6. Swipe to confirm flash
    7. Reboot to recovery and android to verify installation

    TWRP won't Boot?
    Make sure you have a kernel that supports the R DTBO and LZMA ramdisk starting with test5 such as https://forum.xda-developers.com/pi...nel-kirisakuraq-1-0-0-pixel-4-xl-aka-t3992213
    7
    Hello, I was able to get repacking working, however you need to use a kernel with LZMA ramdisk support. I am using Kirisakura-FLORAL_5.2.2.zip for testing.

    Also I am now using @Freak07 FLORAL kernel as a base for the fastboot image in order to support the newer DTBO image from R.

    Please see the download in the FP. I will be working on fastbootd next when I cleanup my patchset for repacking at gerrit.twrp.me for merging into mainline android-10.0

    This is for flame as described. I will work on coral next.

    They share the same device tree btw.

    Here is an update for July firmware: July FW Date https://build.twrp.me/test/flame/twrp-3.4.0-0-test2-flame.img

    It will also fix restoring of super partition.
